2010 Photo Calendar Templates

October 24, 2009 By Paige Balcer

Last year I wrote a post about the many options for creating custom photo calendars. In that post I offered a free download of my own Photoshop designed templates. I got a lot of great feedback on the templates, so of course I updated them for 2010 and will be sharing them here for all my Shutter Sisters. Now you can get started creating your own personalized mini photo calendars for 2010!

Click here to download the zipped psd files.

The files include basic instructions for creating your custom calendar pages in Photoshop. Then just print them on some photo paper or cardstock and cut them out.

These templates are sized to fit in a cd jewel case, but they can also be fastened together with a binder clip and hung on the wall (see above photo). If you choose to use a cd jewel case, you’ll just need to carefully take apart the case and put it back together so that it stands up like this:

These calendars make awesome holiday gifts and they are so fun and easy to create. And as an added bonus these are inexpensive to make!

I’ve been looking for something like this to create calendars using my Cornwall photographs for friends and family back in America. Everything has been way too big, but I love the size of this.

Thank you! Now I can get a head start on the presents for family! An easier way to assemble is to drag the photo in over the blue layer and use that as a clipping mask. Hover the cursor between the two layers in the layer stack and then alt-click. You can then drag from the corners to resize and move the image around to fit the dimensions.

What a neat looking calendar! I am having a problem opening the file with Adobe Photoshop CS3. Should that be compatible or am I bad just confused about zip files?

  73. Paige says

    November 20, 2009 at 5:19 pm

    Louisa,
I have had others test it in CS3 and it worked for them. So I’m not sure what the problem might be!

    Susie,
Yes I just printed them on my own printer and cut them out myself. If you print on cardstock or a thick photo paper, they look great!

I’ve been doing these for years and enjoyed seeing your version of the calendar. I developed a smaller one that fits into those old ZIP drive cases, but I’ll probably have to move up to the bigger one once my supply of those runs out. I do mine in MS Word because I wasn’t happy with the resolution of the calendar numbers when they printed out from a jpeg. My son (the photoshop guru) also told me if I saved things in gif, they may be clearer with fewer "artifacts" as he called them–those little bits of stuff that sometime result from saving print in jpeg. (This doesn’t really work, however, if the picture has a wide range of colors.)

Love the template … BUT … has no-one else noticed the dates are all WRONG!!!! It’s 2011 dates, not 2010. I didn’t notice until I’d printed and cropped the whole thing.

Any chance of re-publishing with the correct dates? Also, someone else already spotted the May 30th duplication.

    Many thanks!

Sorry folks. I mis-read the days as "Monday to Sunday" not "Sunday to Saturday" (I had the weekend days together at the right hand side of each month). Panic over (except i had added my own "mon-sun" caption across the top of each month).

Hope all calendar recipients enjoy all your efforts. Mine certainly loved it (reprint pending!).

    Happy 2010
