a RadLab Tutorial

October 28, 2011 By Kim Klassen

mouse over to see the before

Have you heard the fabulous RadLab news?
It’s now FREE to try for 30 days! You can download it from Totally Rad, HERE.

RadLab is an amazing interface that works within photoshop or photoshop elements. It is compatible with Elements 8 and up or Photshop CS 3 and up.
Once you download and install RadLab, it will be ready and waiting for you within your photoshop program.
RadLab has the coolest effects, called stylets. There are 78 to choose from. Each stylet comes with it’s own editing options. You can also stack the stylets to create unique recipes.

At camp I offered a RadLab class. Today, I thought I’d share the info with those who were not able to be there. Many of the lovely Camp SS girl’s have downloaded the trial and they are loving it.

I decided to Rad-Labify my prairie barn photo for this tutorial. This is my world, right now….a little sad and dreary, don’t you think? It’s a far cry from the beaches of California! But, it’s home.

Watch as RadLab brings this old prairie barn back to life.

Have you had a chance to play with RadLab yet? Do you have a favorite stylet or perhaps your very own custom recipe?

Haven’t tried it yet? Whatchya think? Click HERE for more RadLab info?

    i'm a big fan of radlab and all of the totally rad actions. Altho I don't have a 'before' – this is an 'after' I've applied some of their wonderful effects:

    I downloaded RadLab two weeks ago and can't play with it enough. My favorite part is the real time view of what your photo could look like without having to actually apply it. Thanks, Kim for the tutorial. As always, you showed me a few things I didn't realize I could do with the software.

    It's not supposed to work in Elements but when I forgot and downloaded the trial I was thrilled it did. It is awesome! Now I wish it hadn't worked ๐Ÿ˜‰ I've only post a couple of the many I've done:

    Hi! I know this is off topic to the above post, but I couldn't find a "contact" form or email address on the site. I was wanting to request calendar templates for 2012 (http://traceyclark.com/shuttersisters/home/2010/10/23/2011-photo-calendar-templates.html)
    like you did in 2010 and 2011. I just love these! Did you plan on releasing new ones and if so, when should I expect to see them? Can't wait! ๐Ÿ™‚

    thanks!

    I've downloaded the radlab trial and am having such fun, 30 days is just not long enough!

    But like many people right now, money's a bit tight so I'll have to wait a while and maybe I'll be able to get it after Christmas.

    Hey… what a fun plug-in! Does it work on RAW files or just jpegs?

  12. Mary says

    October 28, 2011 at 5:38 pm

    Okay… I should have read more before I asked a question. :/ I figured it out… Radlab supports 8bit… so just change the mode from 16bit to 8bit and you CAN work on a RAW image. Thanks!

    Thank you so much for posting this! RadLab just went onto my Christmas list. (I'd link to a photo I just played with, but it's for my husband's birthday, which isn't 'til next week, so I can't post it yet!) I appreciate the inspiration!

    Been loving and using RadLab since you first shared it here. I'm so glad so many are trying it. Mary (above), it works on RAW files, that is how I've been processing all of mine.

    And the help people there are great, too. I accidentally closed my little floatie opening window and two emails later they'd told me how to re-establish it.

    When you are old and gray and full of sleep
    And nodding by the fire,take down this book,
    And slowly read,and dream of the soft look
    Your eyes had once,and of their shadows deep;
    http://www.tiffanyoutlets.com/12-tiffany-locket
    How many loved your moments of glad grace,
    And loved your beauty with love false or true;
    But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
    And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
    http://www.tiffanyoutlets.com/11-anchor-pendant
    And bending down beside the glowing bars,
    Murmur,a little sadly,how love fled
    And paced upon the mountains overhead,
    And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

    The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
    It rains, and the wind is never weary;

    The vine still clings to the moldering wall,
    But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
    And the day is dark and dreary.

    Most of us understand that the profit-margin becomes far more in the event of making low-quality Cheap Jerseys Sale. This rush for quite profits which can be huge may be the key that's attracting a great deal of manufacturers which are flooding the market industry with jerseys which are very substandard. However, it normally won't are aware that fat loss on the globe that may lead useless business as much as the sun Discount Jerseys. It is rather feasible for the general public to easily get sick and tired of these brands which can be fake. From then on, they fight to get a real source that could be reliable at relation to its originality of product and also consistent fine-quality. The one other option that's then left is as simple as simply opting for a budget jerseys from China NFL Jerseys Cheap.
