For our latest photo contest, we’ve partnered with Mamazine to host MAMA FOCUS in honor of Mama’s Day. A contest where MAMA must be the focus of the images. Visit Mamazine for the submission rules and how to enter.
The grand prize winner will receive $100 to spend making super amazing photo books at Blurb and the runners up will get playful bangle bracelets from Give Simple.
The contest will run from April 27th-May 31st. Winners will be announced on both sites on June 8th.
Love Thursday
We are thrilled to be offering such a passionately popular weekly feature here. Many of you remember Love Thursday from the past and have secretly hoped that it would resurface. Thankfully, it’s found a new home here at Shutter Sisters and with Karen’s tender care it will be blooming into something wonderful, no doubt. All you need to do to share the Love is comment on Love Thursday posts with the static link to your Love themed photo (on your blog or Flickr or wherever it may be) and you’ll be sure to get yourself a little linky Love.
Superhero Challenges
The original superhero Andrea will be rousing us with her super cool, Superhero Challenges on the first and third Saturday of the month. She never ceases to come up with exceptionally inspiring photo assignments that make every creative being want to get out there and discover something extra in the ordinary. Comment on her posts with the static link of your photo to share with all of us what you’ve found.
Our Flickr Group
We’ve dedicated a special page here for Featured Flickr Photos to show off the stellar images we’ve discovered in our Flicker Pool. If you have photos you would like to share with other Shutter Sisters, please join our Flickr group and submit them. We encourage you to add the photos you’ve shot for Love Thursday and the Superhero Challenges as well if you’d like. We plan to feature a photo each week. You could be next!
One Sweet Shot
This is one way we celebrate the images that other women are creating and sharing online. One Sweet Shot will be held every second Saturday of the month with a list of links to these amazing nominees plus the women who nominated them.
