So we’ve been talking igniting our inspiration this month with the one word project. How about a little Creative Boot Camp to get the sparks flying?.
Are you ready to answer the deeper callings of your creative soul?… Are you tired of following the pack and ready to begin producing your most authentic work… Do you yearn to produce work with full of meaning and brimming with authenticity?…then Maegan Beishline of Madeline Bea Photography has designed a course for you.
Maegan Beishline says “Creative Boot Camp: Spring Training is all about artistic exploration…and through that exploration, getting to know yourself as an artist. It is all about doing the work and flexing the creative muscles in an effort to get to the place where you are producing very authentic work…the work of your soul. Each day of the two week course, there will be a different essay on creativity, an activity to go along with that essay, and some ideas for journaling or further thinking. Also, throughout the course, there will be thoughts and inspiration shared by other artists to really dive into the different mediums.”
You can find all the details of the course at the Creative Boot Camp site and learn how half of the course fee goes to showHOPE: a movement to care for orphans.
I’m thrilled to give away one complimentary place on this amazing journey, so please leave a comment between now and Monday 4/25 midnight (EST), perhaps tell me what inspires you or what a course like this could do for you.

Such an exciting and inspiring class. I think what most appeals to me is the possibility of knowing oneself as an artist..and finding one's true voice. I'm always searching..seeking..experimenting:

Looks like an amazing class – I would love to win and a part of such an inspiring group. Recently, I've started down a new photographic path and I've found inspiration in this quote:

I have recently (within a week) purchased a Canon rebel and I am so wide open to receiving whatever I can from so many sources. I have been reading your website and book and can't put the book down. I feel like there is so much to learn and I am wanting to reach deeper inside myself and explore all that there is to explore. I just happened to be reading this site today and went straight over to read about this camp. I would truly love the opportunity to grow just a little bit more!

Oh, inspire me! Let me breathe life into my images. Open my creative eyes so that I can see something new – always there, but now visible.
I'm feeling a little stumped. I've shot everything around me at least once. The comraderie of a course – the ability to renew my lightchasing, to arouse my desire to create something fresh in this life I've been blessed with – oh, I want this course.
Sarah says
I would love a course like this to force me out of my comfort zone and into the great, creative wild.

I love my camera to bits (even if it has been at the repair shop for almost a month) but I need to be more creative with my photogrpahy – especially when "trying" to take better shots of my 2 boys. Creativity Bootcamp would make me think outside the box and hopefully try new things.
Brooke McGlothlin says
I'm such a Photo Newbie…and I'm trying my best to soak up every little bit of help and good teaching a can find. I would love to participate in this!
Thanks for the opportunity!

I just have to say that I took part in Creativity Bootcamp last year and it was one of my fondest memories. The support you get from others in the course and the ability Maegan has to push you to think outside of your 'creativity box' is amazing. I don't want my name entered for this contest, as much as I'd love to take part again I would much rather see someone new partake in this journey. I just wanted to let you all know what an amazing experience it can be and urge you, even if you don't win this spot, to consider joining the adventure on your own. It will totally be worth it. Promise!
Maria says
I'll be starting a Master's in photojournalism soon and frankly, I am feeling a little awed and intimidated by it. I need to be infused with the creative and I want to feel the power of the Internets behind me– that same power that helped me realize I could apply for the Master's degree in the first place.
Marji says
I did CBC last year. It was so inspiring. Would love to participate again this year!

I am in desperate need of any kind of bootcamp… my body, my mind, my soul, my creativity, my photography… I need a "ME"-camp.

From all the comments of past students, this sounds like a great camp. I'd love to take part.

I've never taken a course like this. Partly in fear of making it very clear I don't belong anywhere near a course like this. I guess I won't know if I don't try.

i would love to participate in this journey with you. a course like this would give me the space and opportunity to become actively seek more authenticity in my life.

What a magnificent journey to take! I am inspired by my new grandson, Whitten. He absolutely makes me want to be the best everything I can possibly be. His very being has created a special place deep within my soul, to leave him a legacy of beauty in print, that he can share with those he loves. In my quest to be a good photographer, I have very often failed to see the actual artistic beauty in the photographs I was taking and this course could very well be the remedy to that. I don't want to be just the lady that shows up at all the family events with her camera, I want to be an artist…someone Whitten can be proud of!
Erika says
Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot in Boot Camp. This looks like a great course to help me find my photographic direction again.
Laurie Bearce says
I believe this course would assist me greatly.
I know I like to capture meaning. This life passes us by so quickly and sometimes we miss the meaning in it.
I enjoy photographing children because they are far less self-conscious than adults. Nature is inspiring to me. I'm so grateful to God that He was so creative and that we can share in the glory of that creativity.
Details intrigue me. So abstract is attractive to me as well.
I'd like to be able to put these together into a style/product all my own.
Thanks for offering this freebie! ๐
Heather says
Looks awesome! I am inspired by so much, people and the creativity they show constantly, the ocean, flowers, new ideas, listening to dreams from other people.. Books.. there is no shortage of inspiration all around us..
Cathy P says
I would love to be a part of this. I've been photographing for years but need to get back to my creative "soul" and a course like this would really help me find that nugget of myself I've lost a bit over the years. I see glimmers but only for a sliver of time!
Mandy says
I could really use inspiration from experts. Would love to have the opportunity to come to the boot camp.

oh.my. this course has been on my *wish* list for oh so long now…sigh…feeling lost and yearning for direction in my photography right now…SO many amazing, creative people sometimes it is so hard not to feel intimidated and shy to put yourself out there, hopefully {fingers crossed} this course could help kick my butt down my creative path ;0)

I went to school for humanities, photography and art are my passions. But, I'm stuck at a boring 9 – 5 office job. I could use some inspiration and creativity in my life ๐ I would love this opportunity. I feel it would allow me to grow as a photographer and hopefully help push my photography to a new level, so a 9 – 5 job is not longer required. ๐
Anita says
I would really love a chance to win a spot in this class. One should never stop learning. There is always something new around the corner. At 47 I still feel like there is a lot left for me to learn. I could use the help to define myself and find the creativity that I know lies inside of me. I think this class would help me focus in on that and connect with others. Thanks!

I joined CBC lat year and loved it. It was thought provoking that inspired beyond the dates of the camp. I would love to join again!

I am new to photography. So often I see something in nature or I watch my son and am completely inspired, but then am disappointed in how what I envision actually ends up looking in the pictures I have taken – there is discord. I am living in the caribbean for my husband's work for a temporary time, and each day that passes, I feel like I am missing photographic opportunities because I am nowhere near my creative potential. So I would LOVE an opportunity to take what sounds like a fabulous course!! Thank you!

This is exactly where I'm at right now. A few years in to my photographic journey, I feel like I have a firm grasp on the basics, and a better idea of what is me in my work. But its time to go from being proud of my work, to being WOW! I've looked in to a few different courses, but as a newly single mother with no financial support, most of them are out of my reach for right now. This would be a Godsend! Thanks for the opportunity!
Marla says
Well, my children inspire me the most. I love photographing them, and would love this course to help me be a little more creative. . .
Catherine Just Seiner says
This course would be so great to dive into! I would love a recharge.
damiec says
color, light, my family, my incredible flickr friends' work, the chance to catch hold of transcendant moments – these are the things that inspire me most.
I have made a lot of progress in my past two years or so of regular (almost daily) picture-taking, to the point where I now think of myself as a photographer and an artist. But I could definitely use the push I'd get from something like this course to help me take those thoughts out of my head and into the world.
Heather says
I've spent so much time learning the technical aspect that I've forgotten how to be creative. I'd love to participate in the Creative Boot Camp.

What inspires me: Beauty. Those who uncover it, create it, highlight it, and capture it. Being around beauty and those who celebrate and showcase it. Kindness – to self and to others. Creativity. Sharing and that gentle nudge to step into dreams.
I am in that dark, difficult place of not being able to see beauty myself. As some other commenters suggested earlier, I too am stumped. I would love the opportunity to participate in this course and de-stump myself. Thank you!
Jenn says
I would love to take my photos more into the realm of art. And, I barely know what I am doing with my camera, I'd love to learn how to use light better, shutter speed better, etc.
Jeannine says
Sounds like a great class. Nature is inspiring me right now. The way the sun lights everything is just amazing.
Maery Rose says
It's been a heck of a year — divorce I didn't want, lost my beautiful country home, and am now just trying to figure it all out. My main creative endeavor has always been writing but I took up blogging and photos became an equal part of telling a story. Recently, my love of capturing moments with my camera pushed me to buy a DSLR camera (Pentax K5) and look for photography books and classes. The direction I'm moving feels full of promise and I'd love any opportunity to explore creative possibilities. You can read the Poem I wrote as an ode to my new camera, titled "Oh, Baby Baby," on my blog post – http://cowgirlbyproxy.blogspot.com/2011/04/ode-to-camera.html

I've been feeling a little stuck with my ceramics and photography creative work, I left my job nine months ago to start teaching children ceramics and I've been putting alot of my creative powers into that, and I'm feeling like I need to give myself some more creativity time and space to get my work moving on and to stop it from becoming stagnant.
Kathy says
My one little word for the year is God. I am looking for God in the little, day to day things and becoming more aware of His presence. I have read about the Creativity Boot Camp and have a friend that participated last year and loved it. This year sounds even better and I think it is wonderful that Maegan is giving half of the profit to help orphans. How blessed they will be.
Taking this course could refuel my creative soul and help me to look inward and see that my creations don't have to be perfect to be good. I have such a creative desire, but rarely have time to commit to the year long course that I received as a gift in December. I think a 2 week intense course is just what I need to rekindle my childhood spirit and creativity.
Sadly, as much as I desire this course, the economy is preventing me from being able to afford it at this time. Therefore, I would LOVE to win the spot. I am keeping my fingers crossed :).

What a fantastic give away. Other photographers and photography challenges inspire me.
When I purchased my first DSLR, I was disappointed at how difficult it was for me to figure it out, but seeing others do it inspired me to keep going. Now I know my camera, I love it, but I found myself getting burned out on the photography business in Fall 2010 so I stopped to re-assess. What inspired me to grab my camera were photography challenges. It was so much fun taking a word and then coming up with my own, unique interpretation of that word. And then comparing (not competing) what others came up with. Everytime I finish a challenge, I'm gung ho for the second one.
Now, less than 6 months later, I see inspiration all around me and I'm so glad that I didn't give up on photography.
Good luck, All!

I have just reached the juncture where my kids are all in school, my husband travels quite a bit for work, and I need to figure out my purpose again. Sounds like a great class to flex those muscles again!
Bev says
I began my creative journey with Meagan's first boot camp. I learned so much about my creative soul.Out of that first boot camp I became an artist, or at least I gave my self permission to say it out loud. This year has been a tough year creatively, I have had 2 elbow surgeries in 6 months on the same elbow, and have just in the last couple weeks been released to pick up my camera again. I also just upgraded to a dslr. I thought that I would just be able to pick up creatively where I left off 6 months ago, but it has been slow going for me. I think this boot camp would be just what I need to get my creative juices going again. Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot!

It is still grey and fuzzy here. Winter still has a hold over us, though its grip is loosening. Saturday it snowed, and I desperately need a little inspiration to get me out of this dreary funk. A little Boot Camp might be just the kick I need to get me off in a new direction.
Thanks for the chance!

I find inspiration in color, nature, and beauty. CBC sounds like a fun venture, which I'd love a chance to be a part of!

Lately my 'real' job has been filling my mind and my days with planning and leading and deliverables. The precious few moments I have to myself have flown by, and I feel I have nothing to show for it. I would love to be able to spend that time inspired to return to shooting from my heart.
Katie says
I am…
a mom to a 6 month old and a 3 year old (both boys)
a wife
a high school professional school counselor
a drivers education teacher (yep, it's true)
a student (working on my specialist degree to someday be a principal).
a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, daughter, granddaughter, and niece
a small-business owner
a photographer
I need this class to move that last little snippet closer to the top. It's really easy to be something to everyone and nothing to myself. I'd like to recharge my creative battery and do this for KATIE! ๐
Deb says
As most probably agree, I seem to have 'moments' of creativity – they seem to happen when I'm not 'trying' to create something special/unique/cool but rather, when I'm just shooting away. I can feel myself going to this spot in my brain, where creativity resides, but can't seem to figure out how to get there on a regular basis. I liken it to typing – when first learing to type, I had to think about where all of the keys were in relation to my fingers and then make my fingers work in the order needed to make the words needing to be typed. Now, after years of practice, I can type away and almost be thinking about something else – that same feeling comes over me when I shoot and have lucid moments of creativity. If there is a formula/process designed to draw on that creativity and help it flow, I feel I would benefit greatly from learning that process.
kathryn says
what a great opportunity…thanks! I know exactly where I am creatively with my drawings but with my photography i seem to be all over the place…altho nature is definitely a constant in my work.

What inspires me right now includes tulips and daffodils, decluttering winter necessities for crisp cotton sheets and my flowered trench coat, and eating al fresco with my family.
I am a teacher who's creative energy is running l-o-w. The gift of course would be payed forward in so many ways with in my classroom and life. I wish you could hear me yelling, "PLEASE pick me!"

I am inspired on a daily basis by my son, flowers, food, really the beauty of the world. I would love to be inspired and get creative!!!
Kelly-Jo Cole says
My son inspires me and I always love a challenge-and I think this would give my brain a little more "think outside the box" juice:) thank you for the giveaway!!
Tiffany says
I am inspired to join this course because I have reached a point in my life where I feel like my creativity is… blocked. Blocked by the daily grind, a (necessary) job that doesn't inspire, and my brand-new business that is my passion but to which I cannot dedicate as much time as I would like. I want this business to support our lives in the future, but this blockage is preventing me, I feel, from REALLY digging in. I really want to get in touch with my creative self to bring as much as I can to this new business, this passion, to benefit those who I will encounter in the future.
Meghan @ Life Refocused says
Oh, this boot camp sounds right up my alley. My photography is inspired by the light (which I am very much missing these days) and the sentimentality of what I see.

I would love a course like this. I love photographing the outdoors, but I need some creative ways to approach it.
