oh my i looooove their bags!
Amy says
I recently had an epiphanie about processing my photos. For a long time I considered it ‘cheating’. As if somehow I wasn’t technically proficient enough to get the photos I wanted in the first place then I didn’t deserve to ‘fake’ it. I only recently realized that the processing is part of the art. Duh.
pam says
You know how everyone tells you "do it today, because, you may not be able to tomorrow"? Well, that really hit me last night in the strangest way. I had been reading an inspiring photography book and could hardly put it down to go to bed. Strangely, I thought about not having the chance to try my new ideas out if my tomorrow weren’t to arrive.
Cindy says
I learned more about lighting yesterday in a online wedding workshop by Ziser. Now at least when I see artificially backlit photos, I’ll know what I am looking at! He has a lot of neat high tech (assistant held) lights, which are part of his process. Makes me look at some things differently.

I Love LOve LOVe LOVE these bags.

I love the bags!

LOVE these bags!!! My latest epiphanie was that I ‘just a minute’ my kids WAY too much. Last night, I stopped the procrastinating and enjoyed the moments!
Angie says
My latest "epiphanie" stems from a joke I heard recently: A photographer goes to a dinner party and the guests rave about his pictures. The host pulls him aside and says, "Your photos are really fantastic. You must have a REALLY good camera." At the end of the night as the photographer is leaving he turns to the host and says, "The meal was wonderful. You must have some REALLY good pots." I don’t have to have the latest and greatest camera, I just need to know how to use what I’ve got.
Laurie says
My latest epiphany was learning to not be too hard on myself when taking photos.. I judge myself much more harshly then other people and since I’ve been doing the 365 project I’ve been more so. Last week I realized that I need to give myself the same courtesy that I give others..
These bags are beautiful..:-)
peace

Puna says
Maile, when my bag came a couple of weeks ago, I was absolutely thrilled. It’s GORGEOUS. Even men were complimenting me on it. Now I want another one, the brown one please? Thank you so much for putting out such a great product and one that I just love, and I’m not an "accesory" person. I do believe though that it’s a critical part of a girl’s photography arsenal! So thank you! It’s beautiful!
Tara says
I have taken so few photos over the winter because the lighting isn’t really the best for photos and I didn’t take many last summer when we were camping because it ended up being rainy and dreary. Now, I’m so angry with myself for not just going ahead and taking pictures without worrying about the lighting. Maybe they wouldn’t have been the best, but now I have nothing. So my epiphanie is that if that I don’t take photos, I won’t have any. Kind of obvious, but true.
Really beautiful bags. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Saj says
My latest Epiphanie is that so far, my Project 365 is kind of easy. I may not be taking the most beautiful shot, or the most technically correct shot, or a shot that will make people look twice. But I’m taking shots of our every day lives. I’m capturing more of the little things my kids do. And I think these are the things I’m going to miss when they grow up.
Laura says
Yay! Great giveaway.
Rory says
My latest Epiphanie is that my 6 month old baby girl changes a little bit every day and I need to take more photos to document the journey!
Ari says
I love those bags, I have the red one and it’s awesome! ๐ My latest epiphanie is that taking pictures is FUN! Lol, that may sound so obvious to so many people, but I guess I’d fallen into the project 365 trap and feeling rather blegh about pictures. And then I just started taking pictures of anything I wanted and I’m loving it!
Annika Christine says
There is absolutely no need to justify myself. Because I am. This is absolutely enough. ๐
Diane says
Sweet. I start my morning here each day, so what a nice surprise! Thanks for the daily creativity boost!
Lori says
Slow down and figure out what you want in life. You are allowed to do that. Take it for yourself because no one will give it to you!
Ashley Gillett says
If I overexpose a little in camera I won’t have to keep adding exposure/brightness in ACR. This was a "duh" moment for me.
Christian @ Modobject at Home says
This may sound cliche, but I’ve recently realized how important it is to enjoy the little things in life because one day I’ll look back and realize the little things were really the big things.
claudia says
My latest epiphanie… I really can do anything I set my mind to. I always say "it’s not rocket science" well neither is starting a new venture. It just takes guts, and no fear of failure for me – what’s the worse that could happen? ….I’ll get over it ๐
beautiful bags, thanks for the giveaway!
Amy N says
My latest epiphanie…it is all a frame of mind.
Tisha says
I would love to win a bag I need a new camera bag for my shoots..
Kris says
My latest epiphanies: It really IS possible to have a positive attitude all the time – you just have to talk yourself into it…and stop taking pictures for other people’s approval. My project 365 is helping me to enjoy the process, not what people think of the end product.
Kelley says
I am in love with these bags!! I’ve wanted one since they first came out!
JoLyn says
I have always taken pictures of my family, of our vacations, of our lives. But it was only recently that I discovered how much I love photography as a form of art. That is my epiphanie!
And I would love love one of THOSE Epiphanies….the red one please!!
Emma says
I am approaching my 29th birthday (tomorrow actually!!) and I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching lately and have come to realize that I have just been sitting around waiting on life to happen to me instead of making it happen for myself. I’ve had an "epiphanie" and now realize that I have to get out and MAKE my dreams come true because it’s not just going to happen on its own. So, I’ve set a goal for myself (which is scary for me) and have decided that I WILL have my own photography business by the time I’m 30. I’m so excited and scared for this journey and can’t wait for all that I will learn along the way! Thank you Shutter Sisters for being such an amazing inspiration for me!!
paula says
Life is too short to be unhappy. Look for the good and smile! The bags are awesome! I am always on the search for the best bag.
Kizz says
I don’t know if it’s my latest but it’s sure one that came up recently for the umpteenth time. You can absolutely never guess what other people are going to freaking do! Just at the moment when you think you’ve got them all figured out WHOMP! they bust out with something that knocks you flat.
Melanie says
Drooling over the red bag! I have recently decided that I have no idea what is a "good picture." I know what I think looks good but sometimes when I see a picture that everyone else considers wonderful art, I just can not see why. Maybe it’s time for a theory class?
Joy says
My latest "epiphanie" or realization is I am not in need of a manly, black, boring camera bag for my camera and lenses. Just because they are more available (and sometimes cheaper) doesn’t mean I am giving in. I want a feminine camera that shouts style and functionality, in other words, EPIPHANIE bags. ๐
spread your wings says
i love a give away , especially for something as nice as this and i’ve been looking for a good camera bag. i want a red one.

I think I’m on my way to an epiphany:) questing for balance — between art and work, self and others, acceptance and change. Well, and lots of other things, too!
Leah says
I can never resist a photography-related giveaway. Besides, these awesome bags are on my wish list anyway.
MelodyA. says
My epiphanie would be that I would love to have a new camera bag but I’m trying to be frugal. Hmm, if only I could win one. That would be awesome.
mandiegirl says
Um, that perhaps carrying my camera around in my purse is not the best idea! ๐
Lynne says
My epiphanie is that I seriously need to get myself a decent camera bag!
sarah says
Just because something doesn’t turn out the way you intended, doesn’t mean it’s a mistake…
I’m not sure if it counts as an epiphany if it’s a lesson you keep leaning over and over, but that’s all I’ve got today.
Libbie says
Recently on my own website I talked about an epiphany I had while driving home from the park with my birds. Seeing there beauty and having a woman at the park tell me that they got their beauty from me; I’m there mother so of course they got it from me. And it made me think perhaps beauty is not something we can be but rather something that just is.
M says
Sometimes you just have to capture the moment – even if you aren’t prepared to and then relish that it was captured, even imperfectly.
Stephanie says
My recent epiphanie was that certain people in my life are teachers. Seeing them this way helps me to appreciate their presence in a way that I couldn’t before.
amy says
My latest epiphany was how easy it is to use a texture in photoshop to create a unique look for my photos. I’d been wanting to learn how for years, and finally sat down to do it. It was way easier than I’d thought! Love the bags!
Kellie says
My greates epiphanie has been that I can’t control or change anyone else. That I can only be in charge of my own hapiness.
divrchk says
My latest epiphanie? If I am happy with myself, everyone around me will be happier and want to be around me too!
Toni says
One that I had several years ago, but still comes up often–even this week–is to live life and enjoy life right where you are, in your present circumstances. Don’t put things off because you’re waiting for "this" or "that". Those things often never come, or take longer then we hoped. In the meantime life–the day to day joys–could be passing you by.
AppleTree says
I am waiting for an epiphany. I cannot remember the last time I was excited about taking photos, which makes me very sad.
I think my epiphany may be that I just need to pick up a camera again.
Evie says
Beautiful bag, it would sure beat caring around an ugly canon bag.
SusanHnSC says
Sweet bags!!!! and great contest!!!!!!!!

LOVE those bags!!!
My latest epiphany? Learning to take 10 minutes out of each day to do whatever it is I want to do (whether checking Twitter or doing a quick clean sweep of the house). It’s saving my sanity!
Audrey says
My epiphanie is that winter is overrated. Even if it is rated poorly, it is still overrated.
Tracy says
I am so salivating over those bags! I would be so psyched to win one. They’re gorgeous. I wouldn’t mind the Canon either…

My latest epiphanie has to do with eating better. There’s always something to do better, no? Gotta love progression of the human soul.
allison waken says
Those bags are amazing!
Courtney says
My latest epiphanie actually came from one of your previous posts. Wait and be still and you might get the perfect shot. You’ll know at that moment. I have always gotten in such a hurry to be inspired and to take a great picture. But if I just sit still and wait once in a while…..
Kate says
I love these bags so much! Every single one. ๐
Crystal says
Such beautiful bags! I love that even when I’ve been in a slump using my camera, I can come to this site and be re-inspired!
Jayne Bramley says
I LOVE the bags….I just can’t decide which one to buy….the brown or the red?? I keep going back to the site and looking but I just can’t make up my mind, ahhh!!!
Diane says
I had to really look back to remember when the last epiphany was that I had:
My mother and I would share books and discuss them. We bought one another books. Then she died. Several weeks ago I was trying to understand why I can no longer read or even open a book of fiction. It came to me as an epiphany that it truly is directly related to the death of my mother. I have not yet moved on and this is a block that is holding me back.
I have not been able to read fiction at all since my mother died and until that time I had been an avid fiction reader. I have found that I can’t even read articles in magazines that are too long — I lose my concentration.
Samantha says
My latest epiphanie is about time: I don’t need (or want!) to know what every photographer out there is doing. I’m going to pick my favorites to follow and leave the rest alone. And Shutter Sisters is one of my favorites!
Lesa says
Your bags look awesome! Would love to see one in person…
melody says
Epiphanie ~ I have no reason to be afraid to follow my heart.
Oh.I.Love.Your.Bags!!! I have one on order BUT would love to win one to gift a friend.
deezee says
My latest Epiphanie…
film cameras should not be relegated to the closet…
Finn says
My epiphany? Just shoot. Try everything, different angles, different settings, stand up, sit down, lay down. Just shoot. You’ll learn more from your mistakes than your successes.
DorkyMum says
My most recent epiphanie is that it’s okay to make different parenting decisions to the ones my own mother made. Even though I thought she was a great Mum, what was right for her is not necessarily right for me and my son.
Marcie says
What great bags!!!
Kristen says
Wow! These bags are so great! My latest epiphany is that I need to figure out my own style for my photographs, not just try to emulate others–although a good learning tool. I’m working on learning exactly what is "me".
Crystal says
I realized that I was trying to hard to make pictures that everyone liked. I need to do what I like, some people will like it, some will hate it, but I will be happier and prouder for being true to me.
These bags are so stinkin’ cute!!!
Laura A says
With having a few health issues recently it hit me that life can to be too short. So I started writing special messages to loved ones and life lessons I’ve learned, just incase my life is too short and if my life is long then I’ll have recorded a lot of personal and loving thoughts throughout the rest of my life ๐
karen says
That if I had a stylish camera bag such as those from Epiphanie, I wouldn’t mind lugging the heavy thing with me…Ban the boring black bag!
Kristen says
shoot from the same perspective that the subject is viewing the world…I love capturing my baby’s-eye-view
Stace says
My recent epiphany: I’m tired of taking pictures of flowers, and I’m not sure I’m learning anything from it. You click enough times, and you’re guaranteed to get something pretty, just because the subject is pretty. I’m trying to come up with some way to challenge myself again.
rachael s says
my latest epiphany is that while i don’t have to make anyone else happy with my photography other than myself, but when i do make others happy it makes me the happiest.
Michelle says
I’m with Angie. My latest epiphany is that there is something very cool about capturing moments in my life with only a cheap digital and picnik to help me. Working around these limitations to produce what I see in my mind is stretching my creativity and acknowledging that all the gadgetry in the world can’t replace my unique vision and voice.
~Kristina says
my latest epiphanie, the deteriorating health of my grandfather. while i have had my moments with tears and heartstings, I am spending more energy focusing on capturing what Time we have left. Live in the moment because this moment, is what is ours for sure.
Allison says
Such beautiful bags – I Hope, I hope, I hope…
Tiffany says
my latest epiphany: it doesn’t matter what others are doing. focus on what you are doing and make it good. i see a lot of what everyone else is doing and want to be more like them. but it’s not really about that. it is about what i can contribute to the world and not how well i can follow someone else.
love the bag! i’ve been looking at camera bags. so this would be lovely!
Liz says
epiphany? not sure. i’m trying to embrace the epiphany that my entire yard does not have to be transformed in one fell swoop….as nice as it would be to get rid of the river rock that covers 90% of it and move to native plants! ๐ a camera bag would be a nice epiphanie, though. ๐
Amarie says
The epiphany of my LIFE came when I realized no matter how much I gave, how much I did, and how far I went, I could not "win" someone’s love, and it had to either be there, or not.
Wonderful bags!
dawn says
these bags are amazing! my epiphany is that i need to want what i have, even if what i have isn’t what i want.
stacy a says
These bags are fab-u-lous! Would love to win since I’m in the need of a new bag. ๐ What a great giveaway!
Kelsi says
My greatest epiphanie has come from the discovery that I needn’t have worried that I wouldn’t have the time or enough subjects to shoot for my project 365. Instead, by committing to shooting a picture a day I have committed to always having a camera with me and now I view everything in my world with a different eye. Suddenly, ordinary objects have the most extraordinary potential if only they are captured. Thanks to my commitment, I am literally stopping everyday, not necessarily to smell the flowers, but certainly to shoot them.
Ali says
My latest epiphany – that I need to take some time for me and do something for me so that I have the energy and love to continue to do for others. Not a new one, but one about which I was recently reminded.
Great give-away. Love those bags!
nevadanista says
Lately I’ve been so happy that age has taught me to just do things, like photography, the way I think is best for me, without worrying about how somebody else would the same thing.
Jen says
My latest epiphany was that I can just take pictures instead of trying to create art. What a relief!
Zahra says
OMG OMG OMG I would LOVEEEE to get a bag!!! And…my birthday is on the 6th so….that would totallyyyyy make my day ๐
*crosses fingers**
My epiphany: Do more with life! I’ve hit a point where I have realized that I dont DO anything anymore! Just go to school come home and eat, surf the net, sleep. Repeat. I’d like to get back more into the ‘doing things’ mood. That includes learning more and expanding on my photography ๐
Rosa says
That I am placing too much importance on things that I don’t love, and must spend more time following my passions because life is short.
Donna says
*fingers crossed* I know just the fabulas photographer to give this bag too.
I have discovered (is that like an epiphany?) that when you are in an amazing relationship, it not scary or sad having some alone time. weird.
RachelB says
My latest "Epiphanie" was that sometimes you have to do something for yourself for a change. I had spent the past couple of years so focused on making others close to me happy that I put off making myself happy. So I decieded to pursue a hobby doing something I have always loved…photography! I have completely immersed myself in this hobby, and it just makes me so happy!
BlessedMess says
Stop thinking about the changes I need to make, and just start changing. One thing at a time. Carrying my camera in something other than a sweatshirt in the bottom of the stroller would be a good start.
SaraB says
What fun camera bags!!
Annie says
My latest ‘epiphanie’ is to take MORE photos — lately, I’ve been letting the days slip away without pulling out my camera and I’m missing things!!
Pamala says
Wow! Great bags! I like bags that don’t look like camera bags, just cause it’s fun to surprise people. LOL!
Whitney says
My latest epiphanie was to really invest time and money to take a good photography class.
mary catherine says
My latest epiphanie seems so simple and silly, but I’ve realized I can just ask for help when I need it. I’ve been building my new career since becoming a mother two years ago, while also full time mothering my daughter. Epiphany/ie is that I need someone to help me care for her a couple times a week so I can focus on myself and my work and then be a better mother in the "off times." ๐
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE one of these bags!

Auntly H says
a recent epiphany: there are plenty of things in my life that I am not proud of, but along with the successes and the neutral actions, they contribute to who I am and what I believe in now. So, they are not regrets, but hard lessons. And, since I am human, I deserve my own forgiveness for them.

My latest epiphany was that life can be beautiful in all seasons. Even winter.

So proud of you.

My latest epiphan’ie’ was to just try it… I’ve been thinking about trying to make money with photography, and I think now I’ll just jump in, feet first!
Shae says
I have come to realize that I am, in fact, beautiful. My husband tells me everyday, but after having my twins, I have a hard time seeing it. I have realized that the extra weight and new grey hairs are because of my wonderful babies, and that is beautiful.

I realized I need to just embrace my own style and stop judging each photo I take to see if it "measures up" to someone else’s work.
The bags are delicious to look at, BTW!
Lu says
The bags are beautiful! I have been waiting to see how they would turn out and I would be honored to carry one!
Emily says
My epiphany came the other day when I was freaking out about how swamped I am as my winter quarter comes to an end. People have expectations of me and I have my own expectations to live up to, and as I was talking to my friend about how much I have to do by the end of the week and how I may be nearing insanity, he simply reminded me: "Project positivity." Those two simple words were enough to ground me, at least for the moment we were speaking. I think the term perfectly coincides with Karen’s post about "making happy." If I remain positive and have full intention of being happy, I can get through anything.
Maggie says
I always feel like I need to rush through a portrait session or not keep a client posed in any one way for too long because I don’t want them to get bored or feel uncomfortable or get tired of having their picture taken. But I recently realized that they (and I) will be so much happier if I slow down, take my time, think through my composition, and get the shots that I really want!
shirley says
My latest epiphany – I can’t control those around me, I can only control how I react.
I love the bags! Great giveaway!
Linda says
Mine is that things don’t have to be perfect, pictures don’t have to be dead sharp. Things can be beautiful as they are, as they are seen, in the moment.
Pennyscraps says
My latest epiphanie is that my heart has a voice – a voice that speaks through the lens of my camera. Only I can pursue that voice and authenticate it. My camera is the tool that I need to use daily to remember and tell the story of my heart.

count me in, these bags are so sweet! thanks for the opportunity

I had an epiphanie last year while thinking what I was going to do with myself once my children were older and all of them in school (still a few years off). I knew that I didn’t want to go back to a regular day job that I had done prior to having children. I realized I needed to simply do what I love! I love being a mother and I love photographing people. If I just pursue that and work hard at it then everything else will fall into place. Do what you love and you will get to spend your entire life LOVING what you do. It’s simple.

I usually carry my camera in an over-sized purse too! I’m so nervous about damaging it and there’s usually not enough room to bring more than one lens. I think my epiphany may be that I just need to get a good bag. It’ll be so much easier to lug around San Francisco!
Alyssa says
Going out with grownups (even once a month) for some juicy, inspired, idealistic conversation feeds the soul.
Staying home with children and being silly, dancing and having juciy, inspired, idealistic conversations does too.

Sierra says
I’ve been trying to wait until my birthday for one of these bags – they are gorgeous!
Trude says
Oh dear, that’s so on my wish list!! My latest epiphanie was that it’s okay to let things go sometimes. I’m the only one setting these huge expectations on myself and thrashing myself mentally for not meeting them all the time isn’t doing me any good! It sounds so rational when you write it down like this, but it’s truly a hard thing for me to do. ๐
Liz//Tipping Point Photo says
An epiphanie, realized in New Zealand of all places: There is more to life than work, but the right kind of work can be your life in the best kind of way.
Shannon Chenoweth says
My epiphany is that I have come to realize that I have been given great gifts with my photography and writing and that no matter how I utilize them, I just need to be out there using them. Not everyone has to love or appreciate the work that I do, it’s more important that I am doing what I am most passionate about. Great gifts are meant to be used, not bottled up on a shelf somewhere collecting dust. Get out there, have fun and just do it. Your life will be all that more enjoyable and fulfilling.
Erika says
Love the look of these bags. I am on a constant search for the right bag. Could this be it?

My latest epiphany is that I think I was born in the wrong decade. I’m an old soul in a young body.
Sarah Shah says
I LOVE that one in the image above. Pick me!!
Irena says
I don’t care nor want to sound smart , I just want a bag.
And if you think this comment is kinda depressed you are more than right – still, I will play along and share my latest thought… maybe not an epiphany but something that every so often pops into my head lately : after losing my 17 year old cat last week I figured that life changes don’t really take a lot of time. Everything can change in a second, and you can find yourself on a completely new and different route in a blink of an eye….. you win a bag, you lose a cat….good stuff, bad stuff…… same increment of time.
Terry says
There’s an epiphany every day! Thanks!
Lyana says
Absolutely love these bags!! As part of a group of women empowering each other, I’m in the middle of a 30 day challenge to stop complaining. My latest ‘epiphanie’ is that the rest of the world actually craves complaining and seems to feed on it. It has become so ingrained in our society that people expect it, support it and excuse it. Suddenly I see so many ‘enablers’ surrounding me. As I stand strong in my resolve, however, I’m finding the personal transformation brings more positive energy to my photography in so many different ways.
April Brown says
Love these bags! Thanks for the chance! Being stuck at home for the past few days, due to surgery, my epiphany was that I need to take more random, candid shots which document our daily lives. For instance, my best friend in the past days has been my favorite slippers, and right now they have a story to tell…!
Juju says
I recently figure out that I don’t need the latest and greatest lens to make great photos. I just need to use what I’ve got–and my noggin–a little more imaginatively. What a head-slapper that was! LOL
Stephanie says
I love these bags! My latest epiphanie is how I need to change my perspective when looking through my lens.

My latest epiphany is that comparing myself and my photography to others is wasted energy and the more productive thing to do would be to do it ‘my’ way and to enjoy the process, without concern about what others will think.
Lori Paximadis says
Your outlook on life is only as good as the lens you view it through. If you let it get dusty and smeary and foggy with pessimism and fear and self-defensiveness, you’ll never be able to see and appreciate what’s really there.

Oh Amy (2nd post), I so agree with you! My grandfather was a pro in the film days (obviously) and I really wonder whether he would love or hate what has happened in the world of photography. My epiphanie! is that it does not matter what kind of camera you are using … the art is getting a great shot. Sometimes it comes from the nice equipment, sometimes the point and shoot disposable … and even miracles can happen with a little bitty camera phone. My ephiphanie happened shortly after the recent loss of our beloved kitty, Pippa – she adopted us 4 years ago, a scruffy lil bean with plenty of physical challenges who showed up at our door. We couldn’t resist her, and having no idea how old she was or how long she’d be with us, we resolved to make whatever time she had with us as comfy and full of love as possible. I realized after her sudden passing, while assembling a photo montage of her for our screensaver, that I wished I taken more pictures and "movies" of her… there were so many unique things about her ~ her little swagger caused by a broken pelvic bone that happened and healed before she came to us, the non-stop purr that changed tonality after throat surgery to fix her breathing, the little head bumps she would give to get our attention when she wanted to be picked up and carried around…I resolved on the spot to pay more attention to my camera and document as much of the "mundane" routine things of our daily life, because one day, they will be priceless to our hearts.

My latest epiphany is that I’m not superwoman and, more importantly, no one really expects me to be. As a mom I’ve put to much pressure on myself to be the perfect mother, at work to be a perfect employee, at photography to get the pictures right right NOW, and everything else. I put too much pressure on myself. I will try my best to be the best "whatever" that I can be but I will not try to make myself be the PERFECT one. I need to cut myself the same slack that I give everyone else.
Victoria says
I was at the epiphanie site today. They have some gorgeous bags.

My epiphany came today as I was driving home from work. I realized that I view almost everything I see as a potential photo! I look at the angles and the light so much, that I forget to drive:)) It’s a wonderful feeling to get lost in your own head!
JustinV says
I had an epiphanie today. It was very powerful to look into the eyes of my sister-in-law while she thanked me, on the verge of tears, for doing something no one else has ever been able to do for her. She has always been one of those people who avoided getting her picture taken. She is so camera-phobic that she gets really angry should someone "sneak" a pic of her. A few weeks ago, she asked if I could take pictures of her because she needed one for a project. I agreed. She came over today, and I took about 180 shots of her. She believed we were going to have to delete them all and was already planning for a second shoot "on a better day." She was wrong. She found over 20 that she actually loved. She was amazed and so grateful that she was filled with emotion. When she looked at herself, she actually liked what she saw. What started as a simple photo shoot in my back yard, solidified what I had in my heart knew all along. It is my purpose to help women feel good about themselves using my talents. Every woman deserves to have at least one photo of themselves that they love. She wanted to pay me. She saw it as me doing her a favor. Turns out, she gave me the greatest gift of all. From this day forward, I will do my part…

wow. 200+ epiphanies… I better make this good!
I always been astonished by how people on the internet and especially on blogs are willing to help each other out and give their time and wisdom to total strangers.
Out of the goodness of their hearts, they lend words of encouragement, kind sentiments and honest critiques to people they most likely will never lay eyes on.
This past year I have "epiphanized" that sincerely paying it forward selflessly is a must in my life. With blogs like this that give women a nurturing outlet for creative freedom I find solace (and I totally commend and thank you). My epiphany today is to share more openly.
oh and that bag rocks too!
Tammy Hunt says
My epiphany is that I am the only one stopping me from my dream of being a truly great photographer, and I would look so good with this bag:))))

my latest "epiphanie" is that i have to keep taking pictures, even if i get called to painting for awhile, or an article takes over my life for a month (or two) to get itself written, or my dayjob takes over my brain. no ceremony is needed. just a couple photos a day, doesnt have to have a specific subject,it keep everything on track. keeps the ideas moving forward. just a little bit. every day.

Kristina says
Great contest! Those bags are so adorable! I would love to have a brown one! my latest epiphanie is the one that comes time after time to me in some different ways – it is about how we take pictures. i was looking at one great photographer website and admiring her breathtaking work when i realised that i do not have to make a picture look "pretty" "clean" to make it good, that sometimes the small details that i was trying to take remove while taking picture or when editing was all that makes the picture interesting!
Jennifer says
I had an epiphanie not to long ago not to work so hard. I get so caught up in my job. My kids are teenagers and need me now more than when they were little kids. I spent a lot of my time with them when were little and raised them up right. I figured once they got in school and older I could work more hours/ full time. Now I’m missing a lot of sporting events they play in and just being there for them. I’ve learned that I can’t let my job run my life, family is too important.
PJ Photography says
Life is short, live each day to it’s fullest. This epiphany came to me again when we went thru a cancer scare of one of our 5 daughters, you realize just how fragile and how much a gift life is.

Caroline says
My epiphany can in mid-January when I was in a creative rut. I starting feeling like photography was not what I was meant to do. It was really affecting my mood one eveing. I sat slumped at my dinner table, watching my daughts eat mac n chez and considering my options when it came to me… Pick up your damn camera, girl!! The results moved me to bring my camera everywhere I went for the next few days. Those pictures of my girls are a look into our silly, messy lives and I cherish them. They helped me to realize what I want to deliver to my clients. When I’m struggling, I will look to my camera for guidance.

I love your bags! Thank you for this fun give-away. I really enjoyed reading everyone’s epiphanies. My most recent is that I applied knowing my photography will not be everyone’s "cup of tea" to my personal life. I have more loving friends and family than I could count and I no longer am going to give any energy to the few people I worry are judging me or don’t like me. The professional me liberated the personal me ๐

Bree says
Oh…lovely, lovely, lovely! My epiphany…love is stronger than opinion.
Roberta Boyle says
It’s okay that I don’t take a picture everyday. Or even every week. Sometimes the thought process in the design, setup, and treatment is still part of the joy of photography. Sometimes getting inspired by just looking at others fabulous photos is also part of the joy of the hobby. Going back to take the photo with new inspiration and ideas is refreshing and more fun than taking shots just for the sake of taking shots.
Sometimes even an obsession needs a new perspective.
Linn says
those bags are beautiful! I make my own cloth camera bags, but it would be so nice to have a leather one!
Sarah A says
i love the bags! I’m just waiting until my birthday before I get one!
hanna says
love the bag – my ephinanie came from looking a picture of my mom, myself and my 4 month old son on a plane. At the time I remember being really afraid of flying w/ him. What if he cried the whole plane ride? Would he do good? all those thoughts were almost so paralizing. The flight went smoothly and I got to visit my grandmother one last time before she passed away and she got to meet my son. What a shame I almost didn’t go because of fear. So my ephinanie is to not let my life be ruled by fear, but to let go, trust in God and the plans he has made for me.
Melissa says
My epiphanie: I may be a mother, a wife, a fiend, a daughter, a sister. . .but I am also me, and I can’t let me get lost in all the things I am doing for others, all the people I am being for others. I am my own eye in the center of this busy life storm.

Gillian says
My latest epiphany is really understanding the light meter on my camera. Sounds lame I know, but I have learned that with my camera I need to dial it down in many situations in order to achieve the look that I like.

Angela says
The other day I had an epiphany about the importance of taking pictures of my kids often. I was thinking about my daughter who is now almost 4 years old. I was trying to remember her as a baby and found that my mommy brain is not very reliable but my photos are! Suddenly after looking through the numerous photos of her it all started coming back to me! I heard recently of the 365 day photo idea and taking a picture every day of your kids – what a fabulous idea! With two toddlers under 4 years old it is hard to get them both but I know I will value these pictures when they are older! And so will they! Thanks for the wonderful ideas!
Erin says
my latest epiphany was yesterday, and it was that while I wished I didn’t have some regrets, i do. but i also realized that it was ok, and that the only thing i could do is move forward from here. I wish I could take photos of every moment in my life. that’s what i thought.

Today’s epiphany….Bringing a newborn baby home from the hospital is simultaneously, the most chaotic and most peaceful time in a woman’s life. I did it four times and this was confirmed with each of my baby’s homecoming. There was nothing like it.
Tara says
you never actually see what you’re photographing in the moment that you photograph it. you see the moment before you click the shutter and the moment after, but when the mirror flips up to allow light to hit your camera sensor or film, that 1/60, 1/125…1/500 point-in-time view is never visible to you, the photographer. there’s this crazy irony going on of being truly present IN a moment that you have to skip over because you’re trying so hard to capture it so that you can see it forever.
Mama DB says
oooo, would be the talk of the town. I have been coveting the "Belle"
