quotable photable

Needles and pins, Needles and pins,
Sew me a sail to catch me the wind.
Sew me a sail strong as the gale,
Carpenter, bring out your hammers and nails.
Hammers and nails, hammers and nails,
Build me a boat to go chasing the whales.
Chasing the whales, sailing the blue
Find me a captain and sign me a crew.
Captain and crew, captain and crew,
Take me, oh take me to anywhere new.

--Shel Silverstein

Above is a picture of my first adventure in my BOW weekend: the Alpine Tower. This 50 foot structure is record-setting as the largest free-standing climbing structure in…maybe the country? I don’t remember, but I do remember that it is pretty unique.

Sometimes the adventurer needs a minute to regroup.....

My little adventurer recently turned 21, but the picture below looks as if we were talking and planning the things to come.

Here they are - exuberant & peek a boo. Caught the first one just before the handful of dirt caught me ...

Grandfather, granddaughter - on an adventure:

Today, my adventure is to be where my feet are planted... in THIS moment. I'm getting caught up in the busy-ness of what's waiting for me tomorrow (and the tomorrow after that...). There is no greater adventure than to be fully where you are.

of all the gifts that he got for his birthday this one is by far the coolest, because it only could have gotten here by the faithful intersection and planning of God.

He is so Good to us. =)

A trip to CA not to long ago. Time with the Grandparents. First time to experience the open ocean (as opposed to Puget Sound).

i showed my true adventure spirit the best at hilton head. no sun at the beach? we needed a alternate plan - went to salvation army, bought a wedding dress for $20 and did a photoshoot with the poem Annabelle Lee in mind. changed right on the beach, set up a tripod and started shooting, i didn't care what others thought - a great photo adventure
