Superhero Photo Challenge: A handful of treasures

Do you remember being a kid in the summer and gathering treasures at the beach? We would stroll up and down the water gathering shells, rocks and seaglass to bring back to our towels to examine more closely. The best treasures would come home with us to be displayed prominently on the windowsill.

Fall is a perfect time to gather treasures as well. Searching for them has us take notice of the micro worlds we normally don't see and get down in the dirt once in a while. For this week's challenge, play with this idea of hands full of treasures.

Treasures can be bright green acorns,  colorful seaglass from the beach, wedding rings in tiny hands, or a magical rock that says just the right thing.

Surprise us with what you find!

Good Day. If you think you can win, you can win. Faith is necessary to victory. Help me! I find sites on the topic: Corporate retirement party planning. I found only this - planning for retirement. Cheap health care, cheap domestic help, cheap living in general. Keep in mind that what ...

This is how I spent my free time last Saturday afternoon. I should have been up on a ladder painting my house, but I just wasn't feelin' it, ya know?? So I tromped out into the backyard for a little study.

Here's my interpretation of a handful of treasures:

Hidden in the underbrush are the last of fall 'treasures'. Not exactly a handful...but close:

And tucked beneath an oak tree are these little gems:

oh - lovely! I've been doing a little series - on and off - at my blog since last week with a similar theme (only spring here!), walking in the evening and collecting - a normal thing for me - but now documenting it. it started here ...

and just another little collection of treasures from the other evening

This is an old photo...one of the first I ever posted for SS too! But it's still one of my very favorites, and I don't think I could top it as far as a handful of treasures. :-)

Funny - I just posted this yesterday. I'm usually the one holding the treasures, so my husband took this photo.

I'm not a new SS reader, but this is my first time posting....Its' from awhile ago, but it fits the "handful of treasures" theme. My kids are always so good at finding "treasures" in the little things...I learn so much from seeing things through their eyes!

This flower was growing in my front flower bed. I have no idea what it is, but it is so charming and spindly.

My son and I always look for heart shaped rocks at the beach. His interest usually lasts a few minutes but its almost always me who ends up bringing things home. Then we have a good laugh at how mommy keeps all these strange objects lying around the house. Here are some beach hearts.

Good timing, I was at a loss for what to take a picture of and happened to spot our first box of yummy oranges. They are tiny, yummy treasures for sure.

Autumn turn into winter a few weeks ago in the north of Sweden... so my handful of treasures shall be glowing points of light to iluminate and ease the obscurity surrounding us.

I'm way too late for this, and probably nobody will see this, but I have a lovely shot of a handful of treasure - they're my husbands hands, proffering some freshly gathered conkers...
