Abundance

My favorite thing about this photo is the way the pumpkins seem to be spilling out from every corner. The multitude of pumpkins and fall colors reminds me of a cornucopia. I think we can all recall drawing or coloring a "horn of plenty" in elementary school in the weeks prior to Thanksgiving. It's a symbol of fortune, beauty and abundance, meant to remind us to be thankful.

Your challenge today is to take a picture of an abundance of something you find beautiful. It could be anything from paper clips to apples. Just fill your frame with your items and show us what you come up with!

I am teaching myself to photograph the abundance of leaves and flowers on trees. A long way still to go, but this is the first image I've been pleased enough with to publish. (That is terrible grammar but I am letting it stand.) The ginkgo on the corner. I've tried for years to capture it's goldenness and only yesterday realized what I should have done differently. Ah well, next year. :)

I totally agree with your comments about the pumpkins but have to add that the way you have used the depth of field makes the photograph. Its a photograph I'd be very proud of taking. Si
