Superhero Photo Challenge: Follow the pattern

For the superhero photo challenge this week, let's use fabrics and patterns in interesting ways. Use them as backdrops, photograph against vintage wallpaper, go bold with patterned clothing and color. Can't wait to see what you've got!

i took this tonight, right before I read the challenge. Funny how lately I seem to be on the same page as the shutter sisters...another reason to come back here for inspiration and direction over and over again.
Thanks Andrea!

Not exactly the patterns you've described...but a blurr of 'nature's' patterning as a backdrop:

I'd like to share some simple, everyday patterns. Ones I found on my favourite trousers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanessa_r/3295374361/in/set-72157607454198345/ , on a scarf i knit for my niece: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanessa_r/3268429037/in/set-72157613562261989/ . Oh, and here too... because my boys have the cutest swimming togs!: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanessa_r/2882243130/in/set-72157607454214429/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/vanessa_r/3074951249/in/set-72157607454214429/

These images are more in my series of photographing my mother's hands. Each one happens to have texture and pattern or fabric as well as her hands.

not sure this really fits but my daughter had to "create" a visual texture in her 3D class and she sent me this today - she created bamboo and shot it against her bedspread

I've been experimenting with this damask backdrop as I venture out on my first few photoshoots.

This is a scarf from Ethiopia, I left it draped over a chair and then loved the mysterious folds that got created...

I was watching Braveheart a couple of weeks ago. This challenge made me think of that afternoon when I was laying in bed, watching tv and had my camera with me.

I love patterns, I want to get some fabric to use as backdrops with patterns on it. In the mean time here is an older picture I took in our guest room that still has vintage wall paper up. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16869615@N03/2373046994/in/set-72157604290391092/

My daughter is graduating from high school in a few weeks. She decided to make her own announcements/invitations out of different patterned card stock. So crafty! She didn't get that from me...
