Let's Beckon Some Lovely

Some lovely feet of those Beckoning the Lovely in Chicago

I had the privilege yesterday of attending the Chicago event for Amy Krouse Rosenthal's The Beckoning of Lovely tour. It was an hour of pure loveliness for sure. If you've never seen the video that launched this unique project, please do so now. I promise that it's better than a double scoop of [insert favorite flavor here] ice cream on a hot summer day.

Ever since I heard about this project, I thought to myself how applicable the phrase "Beckoning of Lovely" is to what many of us do as photographers. I see it all the time in our Flickr group pool. From shared ordinary moments to marking the passage of time to simple daily routines, we capture in our images the beauty that is inherent all around us, the beauty that we call forth and share with others through our photographs. It's one of the things I find most satisfying about being a photographer.

What beauty have you been calling forth lately? Please share with us your images of some beckoned lovely.

This is beauty to me at the moment: http://elainaavalos.blogspot.com/2009/05/beauty-remembering.html

When I took the photo early last week, I just liked it somehow. No special meaning. But it took on new life and new meaning after a difficult week and sad news.

Oh...there is so much beauty. The simple joy of two dogs playing:

I watched this video a few weeks ago for the first time on a recommendation from Jen Lemen. Such a super awesome, creative idea. Thanks for sharing it with sisters here, Sarah.

I saw "The Beckoning of Lovely" on Jen Lemen's site too and was so inspired...i want to do that!

A friend of mine sent me this video and I keep thinking about it...it is Lisa Hannigan's video for "I Don't Know" from her album "Sea Sew." This girl can sing and make "shear" lovliness!

I've been trying to look for the beauty in the ordinary day to day things in my teaching world. I forget how much loveliness is there sometimes. (I need to remind myself to look for it at times.)

Don't over look the little church on the corner. It can seem ordinary but it's extraordinary. http://www.flickr.com/photos/23402456@N08/3538261643/

I don't know why, but that video had me crying from the get-go. Simply wonderful - thank you for bringing it to our attention. It would be so wonderful to be part of a project like that, but I guess we are with Picture Hope. Yay!

I admit I have a fetish for fallen flowers, blossoms on the ground. I have files of images of such. In addition, I have an upstairs neighbor who chose to leave her blue Christmas lights (wrapped aound her outdoor spiral staircase) up for the rest of the year. Tle light is fabulous, and in March the fallen pear tree blossoms glowed each night like stars under those lights. I continue to document the lights, in addition to all of those fallen blooms.

All people deserve very good life time and mortgage loans or car loan will make it much better. Because freedom is based on money state.
