new

What's better than baby animals in the Spring? I love the fact that nature gives us one big POW of beauty all at once. Flowers are blooming, grass is growing, eggs are hatching and baby animals are entering the world. Everything feels fresh and the earth is ready to make it all grow. Now is the time to have your camera on you at ALL times. You never know when you might come across one of these beautiful new creatures.

Share your photos of spring "newness" no matter what it may be!

New… I could only think of this very young elephant. Less than one year old. Still clumsy and looking for mama’s milk and shade!

Here's some photos of a White Breasted Nuthatch at the nestbox in my backyard. It has chicks in the nestbox and a visitor for lunch yesterday.... the visitor was a snake. But, I'm happy to say Birds 1, Snake 0. LOL

I totally agree, now is the time of year to always carry the camera, you never know what you might find. I always bring my camera hiking anyway and last week took this photo of "newness".

in Tanzania, it is technically winter, the long rainy season. It is at that time of the year that many animals have their babies like this baby elephant pictures on my blog. A new life!

Our new baby ducks are almost two weeks old! Our next photoshoot with the duckies will take place outside in the fresh new green grass...

Beautiful capture!

You are right! I am seeing lots of new baby lizards (too fast & small to photograph) and last week on my walk I saw a baby crane. It's time like that that I wish I had an iPhone. ;)

Two shots: just-blooming lilacs and then some babies that might not be everyone's cup of tea.

I've been lurking for a while, enjoying everyone's awesome photographs. I'm new to photography. For my 60th birthday my kids and husband gave me a Nikon D60 and I'm loving it. Here's a bit of Baby Fluff I saw when I was out walking at dusk a couple weeks ago.

I love spring - fresh flowers, spring showers cleaning the dust from winter, sunshine and baby chicks. This little chick was hilarious to watch:

This kitten was born a little while ago, but she didn't have a name, so we named Lily on Easter weekend.

The warmer weather brings more adventures on the weekends, as we explore Brooklyn and New York City. Today, off to a neighborhood near our own that we had only been in once before on a taxi ride back from the airport last summer.

So, here's my new of spring today... New adventures, new places to experience, new sights to see...

Every year the arrival of spring is haled by the blossoming of the trees. They shower the landscape with color only once a year. Then they disappear for the rest of the year, until the following spring. In the Bay Area, there are only a few such trees in any given area; so appreciating the ones we have, is a great joy!

Then I let my imagination run wild! I used Photoshop to create different versions. Which do you like?

besides a lot of flowers budding out and the wonderful "spring green" everywhere this is the best representation of "new" I have for this spring. taken a few weeks ago.
