at home

There's something special about photographing a baby in their home environment. It's nice to know that these photos will be around for them to see when they are all grown up. Those early days of babyhood will eventually fade from their memories, but the photos will be present to spark some recognition of a toy or room in their house. Images like these are as important to parents as they are to the kids who will someday flip through albums and reminisce.

These lucky little ones will have a wonderful record of their first loving homes. Have you taken any photos that will be a valuable addition to the family photo album?

I love the look with the child posed on the window seat with her cuddly toys. Precious!

My images are more like " A Day in the Life ."

Love your sweet photo. I love photos with place and context. They hold so many memories.

This is our backyard, in progress. I hope it holds many fond memories for my son.

And I had the honor of taking pictures for a dear friend and her baby boy. So fun. :)

I take pictures of my children almost every day, and somehow you know when you've taken that shot for the ages - one that really captures them as they are at a particular time.

This photo of our foster daughter always made me smile. Now that she has been gone for about eight months, I feel ok posting some photos since she is most likely unrecognizable by now. Kids grow so fast :(

Now that they are teenagers, I seem to have less and less "cutesy" photos. Though I try! Here they are having snow fun...it's more "them" than sitting and posing for me.

I'm so glad I got this shot of my high school son. Now he'll never forget his "home" away from home!

My oldest when he was first learning to dress himself, in his 'big boy' room...I so miss these days.

Wow, that's pretty much my entire photostream ;-) I think my favorites, and some of the most important pictures are the ones I take of my boys with their Grandparents. I don't have any of myself with mine, and unfortunately, they are now gone.

Here, continuing my husbands family tradition of "building with Pepere"
