endings

We have started summer off with a splash around here, that's for sure! With all of the hellos you know there was bound to eventually be a good-bye. Sniff sniff. But never fear, we have one last random giveaway from our gracious sponsor Hello Canvas today. Leave a comment here and if you'd like to share with us a shot of "the flip side" we'd love to see it!

And there's still today to order your own canvas at 40% off! Keep in mind as well that our 25% discount will be extended all the way through July! Hello!

But now we really must say good-bye. Just remember that with one ending comes another beginning...

Wheeeeee!

A little flip-side image. Usually it's the kids following the mother:

such a beautiful happy sequence, Tracey!!!

I love capturing the flip-side of flowers, watching them from the outside. I think they are beautiful also from that point of view.

what a perfect way to "end"! here is a photo of my 3 daughters. it is apparently much easier to get the flip side as i learned a few weeks ago when i took these . . . i have none of their faces but a ton of their flip sides :o)

I almost laughed out loud as I scanned my photostream for an image that captured "the flip side"....here is the first one that I came across that seemed appropriate...and yet, CREEPY! LOL! Happy Summer, everyone! :)

I would love to win this!!!

Here is my flip side image - It's more photojournalistic, since it was a documentary of our pumpkin patch, but it's funny how the seasoned farmer is watching the "youngster" driver his tractor for the first time.

I did a final for my one photography class all from the flipside of my daughter trying to see things from her perspective!!!!

this was fun to look for the flip side of life. I didn't realize I had so many. At first i was heading straight to my florals, but decided to see what I had in My trip files and there was this wonderful Rooster caught pecking away amongst trash, boats and people, he just didn't care about any of that, just the crumbs he could find on the ground. thanks for the contest
http://www.flickr.com/photos/newmexicomtngirl/4748347073/
and I also painted a little watercolor of this same rooster (different pose) on my etsy store @ http://cheyannesexton.etsy.com

Cool idea, the flip side! Here are two from my recent trip to the world cup in south africa. The first was on our way to our seats at Soccer City for the Netherlands v. Denmark match:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/46922592@N00/4734090810/in/photostream/

And the second, well I'm almost embarrassed about taking this one, but it seemed appropriate for all the buzz that was created surrounding these ladies. it was taken walking back to the car after the match. The next day, something similar was on the front page of the paper, so maybe I was on to something:

Yes, yes, yes! I have a recent "flip side" to the hello. I love it so much, partly because of its sweet ordinary and partly because it seems to have a story being held within ...

After a morning at the beach, the only way to get the sand off my 3-year old granddaughter was to strip off her bathing suit and stick her under the beach shower. We'd wrap her in a towel but more often than not, the towel fell off:
