The other evening, I found myself in a field of recently cut hay. The sun was setting, the golden hour in full bloom. As the delicious light filled such a stunning location, a joy swept over me that made me wanna jump…. that’s how I express myself.
I love nothing more than a jumping shot. I like to jump here, there and anywhere.
It seems many of you like to collect some air too.
Not everyone likes to jump, so how do you like to express yourself when a location fills you with delight?.

Here is a jumping photograph just from this last Saturday! Jumping is too fun, why not do it more often?

I guess I'm a little more sedate in my expression when capturing joy:

When I get to a wide open, empty beach (lots of those on the Oregon Coast in the off-season) I love to drop everything I'm carrying, run toward on the sand, throw my arms wide and spin around and around. There is such freedom and joy in that moment! (No photos of me spinning though, and I haven't yet taken a photo of that wide open expanse of beach that really captures the feel I get yet.)

I love the feeling that photo captures. The perspective is unique and wonderful.
My boy finds joy in the simple things (and isn't afraid to show it):

I love being in open spaces and, like Marci, I am personally more reserved- despite the stunning view here at Rainbow Ranch, this lil' cowboy is captured by the simplicity of a ballon.

Great and happy shots. I have been trying to express myself through pictures. An underlying message or unexplainable image that just makes my heart smile. It is so wonderful that the pictures you take are yours, and you don't have to explain them to anyone.
Today, a couple of my favorite things…my expresso mcahine, and my 2 little girls…odd combo, but I was feeling like searching for a bit of Alice and Wonderland today.

Just this past weekend my family jumped for the camers…it turns out that jumping always seems to become a competition:)

I love this shot! We were at the beach recently and my children always jumped over the first several waves as they walked into the water.

I dance! I've always loved dancing. Until I lost my rhythm. I copied this excerpt from a blog entry about antidepressants killing my rhythm. Hope it's okay to share it. I still dance. I dance until I lose my rhythm . . . Still.
"I cannot dance for more than a fistful of beats before I lose my rhythm.
Pharmacists never tell you that when you get your prescriptions filled. I guess it never occurred to the drug makers to include that bit of information on the inserts or in the black box warnings. They should. Warning: Use of this drug may cause loss of rhythm. No studies have been done to discover the cause of this particular side effect, or determine if the condition is permanent.
Every time I lose the beat–the rhythm–I lose parts of myself, like they're notes from the rhythm of life. I miss dancing until I sweat."
Wish I had photos of me dancing. Before I'm too old to cut a rug. ๐
Thanks! I love coming here. You make me remember who I am and what I love when I lose sight.
