Color always plays a big part in my image making. Whether it be muted:

Or – clear and bright:

I just love Tracy's classes! This class is just what I need to jumpstart into spring ๐
I prefer lots of bright colors mixed with texture whether they are natural as in spring tulips and daffodils, or bright banners on an old European building.
It has been a long time since I took a fun class – thank you for the opportunity!
This class sounds like lots of fun!
Here's shot taken recently โ apples on a rainy day. I liked the pop of red against the dreary gray background.
http://dorisrudddesigns.wordpress.com/2011/03/10/week-of-march-6-2011/
Red is one of my favorite colors. Most of the images I've been capturing recently have been grey, brown or beige (spring seems to be a little slow in showing itself this year) but I couldn't have been more happy to see this flash of red.

such a beautiful shot, xanthe, those red bits are wonderful!
green, the green of new leaves:

thank you for the chance to participate in the giveaway, this new course looks like a lot of fun!
Oddly, the stairhall at work. It was recently painted a glorious, changeable blue called "watery", from Sherwin Williams. So wonderful, I'm painting my bedroom the same color.
Sounds like a fun class.
Mary Ann
you do color so great xanthe! i love that london red.
I love to manipulate the color of the sky. Here I chose a robin's egg blue as the backdrop to pussy willows and newly emerging tree buds. A spring theme.

Love your leading color! When I see these city shots it makes me long for something other than the suburban countryside where I live.
Oooh, I'd love a chance to win this. I'm in need of some inspiration, especially since starting up a 365 project.
I'm obsessed with color, any color:

I love deep saturated color in my images (http://www.flickr.com/photos/gashuttergirl/5044843889/), but lately I have fallen in love with processing my images with a more muted color palette (http://www.flickr.com/photos/gashuttergirl/5596294717/). I love Tracey's classes. Thanks for the chance to win a spot in her next class.
This time of year, for some reason (?!) I find myself drawn to bright, warm colors – even though they aren't normally my favorites.

Right now, as we finally start moving into Spring, the color popping up in my photos is GREEN!

I love the red of the tin roof against the peeling Robin's egg blue of this lonely old house

For me, red and/or yellow have to be my color muses. This spring it has been more yellow:

Color is a real struggle for me. I could definitely benefit from this class!

I am really inspired by the color yellow right now! It is so bright and cheery – just what I need when sometimes the winter seems to butt into spring yet!! Your new class looks awesome! Thank you for the chance!!
Even though we still have predominately gray skies right now, color is everywhere!
What a great giveaway!!
i am happiest when i find red.

in the spring it's not so hard to do

Beautiful picture. I am hoping to win – I could really use the help!
Yesterday was gray and rainy here in Ohio. As I was searching for my Project 365 daily photo, I found that the blue-tinted sun shield along the top of the windshield made a wonderful gradient that enhanced the "rainy day blues" of this image:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/gottgraphicsdesign/5614827560/
Color that I had never noticed before – isn't photography wonderful?
Beautiful splash of color in that capture, Xanthe!
I love the color that surrounds us in spring:

Love Tracey's classes. Would love the chance to take another.
Primary colours mostly, but as I'm learning about tones and shades of grey in my photography class, I'm making some monochrome photos that I find especially soothing.
http://www.soeursdujour.com/2011/03/white-on-white-.html
Oh, I seem to be taking alot of photos of yellow…which is funny to me as it is NOT one of my favorite colors!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherhen/5614473522/in/photostream
And thanks for the chance to win a spot in Tracey's class…I think I need it!
I'm very much into tulips right now as I wait for the start of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I've been walking around town, going to nurseries, snapping pictures of tulips along the way:

I've got lots of green, lately.
Here is one that's entirely green!

I love color as the focus (no pun intended!).
I would so love to win this spot in Tracey's class! Thanks for the chance. When it comes to color, I find that I am attracted to warm tones. I would upload an image, but my laptop crashed the other night and I lost most everything!!!!!!!!! Please learn from my mistake and back up those precious images of yours!!!
I love to get pics of sunrises and sunsets. Fiery colors such as red, orange, pinks and purples.
I tend to shoot alot of green! http://www.flickr.com/photos/27395967@N03/5596127617/in/photostream
I'm really just a beginner at photography…but I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I love the color RED.
Today I did something I have never done before: used selective color in a photo. It was kind of fun!
http://www.birdwannawhistle.com/blog/2011/4/13/new-neighbor.html
I love this picture – so wonderful! I just love pops of color – especially in the city! ๐
Lately I've been noticing a lot of pink:

most recently my grandparent's home with brightly painted accent walls, a red barn, saintly statues everywhere.
Now that spring is FINALLY here, I'm so glad to see color instead of brown and grey.

So excited for Picture Color!
I love to find color in unexpected places – here's an oldie but one of my favorites from a vacation in Australia a few years back.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/52055227@N07/5616962426/in/photostream
I find that reds, pinks, oranges and greens all show up a lot in my photos. And everywhere else in my work, too. I am really drawn to all of those, although I think reds often take the lead.
I'm so excited for Tracey's class, too. I just love color! I'm planning to sign up, although now I think I'll wait a bit, just in case I win a registration. ๐
I love the classes I have been taking with Tracy. I cannot wait for picture Color. I have been really looking at yellow, since my daffadils have bloomed, but will be getting more soon. But love reds from sunsets and the Blue of my Boys eyes.
But here is a picture of my flower blooming.

I love bright colour! I also love the fact that you also put a "u" in "colour" when you write it!

Ooooooh color!! I love the picture classes!!! : )
What a fun idea. It is sort of a scavenger hunt of color. I think it would translate nicely to my little too. Great fun!
I'll have to pay closer attention to see if one color is drawing my attention right now. Lately I think it's green just because everything is starting to bloom.
Yellow is what I'm drawn to right now, when winter still seems to be hanging on too long!

I'm taking Tracey's Picture Inspiration, and would love to win a spot in this new class.
I have taken all of Tracey's classes and always leave so inspired.
The photo was beautiful. I really like red, and I just happen to like old bicycles too!! Thanks for the opportunity; Ive read that her classes are inspirational and great fun.
I don't know that I've ever seen a brighter burst of color than this. But I must say I am most drawn to the muted pink petals that curl around the base of all this showy brightness. Would love an opportunity in Tracey's class – thank you for the chance!

Purples. Definitely purples.
Strawberry color had caught my eye – seeing this fusion of red and pink in the fresh fruit, I could not resist taking these self portraits. The second picture is my favorite! The color made my day!

I am in LOVE with the blue at the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech – le bleu majorelle!
http://le-fabuleux-destin-de.blogspot.com/2011/04/marrakech-jardin-majorelle.html
I'm in the Picture Inspiration class and am so enjoying it and learning from the others. My first class was Picture Winter. It changed how I see things and take pictures.
It's my birthday tomorrow April 14, but today I celebrate the last day of 56. It's been a wonderful year and I look forward to 57 – a really good sounding number and age. Maybe Picture Color would be a nice birthday gift? ๐
Sounds like a fun class. As much as I like black and white I always revert to color – bright and lively!
given i am surrounded by testosterone, i find myself seeking pink…

I think green is what I photograph most — when available, anyway. After a very long winter, I'm quite starved for green things to capture! The photo at the top of my latest blog post was an impulse shot of new green grass in my window: http://www.kimbyrns.ca/accordingtokim/2011/04/spring-has-sprung.html
I would love to win a spot in Picture Color!
Blue seems to be appearing in a lot of my photos lately. Colors are a major driving force in my photography. Love Tracey's classes!
http://heartsandscars.blogspot.com/2011/04/sweet-escape.html
with all the wildflowers out now…yellows and oranges are definitely most prominent in my photos
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kathrynhansen/5596130369/in/photostream
That happens to me all the time! Because SoCal has gotten so much rain this season the dominant color seems to be green lately. ๐ Would love a spot in Tracey's class!!
This sounds like such a great classes! Of course all of Tracey's classes are awesome!

I don't normally go for pink. I think I have been a bit of a tomboy for a lot of my life and only in recent years am I embracing my romantic side. I think I often thought pink was too girly and thought of Barbie dolls, but now I realise there are so many variations of tone that suit me and aren't too sort of plasticcy. Saying that, I do love this bright magnolia in all it's pink beauty.
I think spring, and being surrounded by new babies and expectant mothers is making me think of delicate, fresh life.
As the mother of four young boys, there's a lot of BLUE at our house.

color fun!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/shutterbugmuse/5613336359/in/photostream/lightbox/
I don't know that I shoot any particular color more than any other one. I'm just happy to have things of color to shoot now that spring has arrived. White, black, and gray were getting a bit tiring during our long, snowy winter. ๐
I tend to go for warm colors, and right now yellow is showing up a lot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/superdewa/5612853235/in/photostream
Blue skies. Lately they have been a deep blue and I am taking them all kinds of ways. This was one I took down the street while standing at my driveway and another from the backyard. Both were taken shortly before I posted them in my blog.

I love the inspiration and emotion conveyed in photos that exude or surprise with a particular color. Living in the mountains, it's a challenge to find color standouts during seasons other than spring. I'm excited about the possibility of participating in the upcoming color class; now that would be inspiring! Thanks for all you do for women and the photography community!
Reds, purples, oranges are a few of my fav's. I would LOVE to win this, I so need any extra helpI can get. Thanks for the chance!!
i didn't realize that my photos shared similar colors until i put them together in an etsy shop. now i can see that I'm drawn to a palette of sea & sky.

i'd love to take a class!
I love the red in your shot, especially the muted red lights in the background ๐ This post has some of my favorite shots with red, I love finding the red bellied woodpeckers to shoot ~ http://christinemyoung.wordpress.com/2011/04/12/its-a-beautiful-day-in-the-neighborhood/
I played along with spring colors week–then had my own fun with a Rainbow Weekend:

I could totally use a class to focus on color. Things have been so drab around here lately. However, I am thinking they will be looking colorful soonwith all of the blooms making their way out!!! Thanks for the generous give-away & happy spring!
I love color, all colors — can't say I am focusing on one right now, but after the grey of winter they are all welcome.
This is one I took yesterday on our backyard of the snowball bush just staring to get new leaves and buds with the warmer weather we HAD been having, of course now it is back to chilly, grey and rainy.
http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm275/violethare/treeday00016.jpg
with a new little one due any day, i think that a class would be just the thing to keep me grounded on all those tired days! ๐
