April 13, 2011 By Xanthe Berkeley

I love a good colour week, it’s such an inspiration for me, as colour is my passion. So seeking out a certain colour each day gets me excited.

Do you ever find one colour is clearly the starring role in some of your shots?

Please show us what colour is taking the lead in your photos lately.

And as a special celebration of color, we are giving away 3 complimentary class registrations for Tracey Clark’s soon coming photo-centric e-class Picture Color. 30 days of colorful clicks? Oh yes! Talk about some color inspiration!

Leave your comment here between now and Thursday 4/14 midnight (EST) for your chance to win.

Color always plays a big part in my image making. Whether it be muted:

Here's shot taken recently โ€” apples on a rainy day. I liked the pop of red against the dreary gray background.

Red is one of my favorite colors. Most of the images I've been capturing recently have been grey, brown or beige (spring seems to be a little slow in showing itself this year) but I couldn't have been more happy to see this flash of red.

I don't normally go for pink. I think I have been a bit of a tomboy for a lot of my life and only in recent years am I embracing my romantic side. I think I often thought pink was too girly and thought of Barbie dolls, but now I realise there are so many variations of tone that suit me and aren't too sort of plasticcy. Saying that, I do love this bright magnolia in all it's pink beauty.

I think spring, and being surrounded by new babies and expectant mothers is making me think of delicate, fresh life.

I could totally use a class to focus on color. Things have been so drab around here lately. However, I am thinking they will be looking colorful soonwith all of the blooms making their way out!!! Thanks for the generous give-away & happy spring!

I love color, all colors — can't say I am focusing on one right now, but after the grey of winter they are all welcome.

This is one I took yesterday on our backyard of the snowball bush just staring to get new leaves and buds with the warmer weather we HAD been having, of course now it is back to chilly, grey and rainy.
