Lights of the Season

December 9, 2011 By Kim Klassen

My favorite part of the holiday season has to be the lights…. They create such a magical feeling.

I’m way behind on my holiday decorating….In fact, this is all I’ve done so far! The lovely light from this rusty lantern caught my eye as I was zipping by this evening…. ‘picture perfect’ I thought….

snap….snap…snap….

There’s nothing like a sparkly holiday tree. Or how ’bout a sparkly puppy dog? Oh my goodness…so precious…. or…some homespun holiday cheer.

Have you captured a little twinkle magic….or maybe some inspired holiday cheer….this year? Share with us today.

I decorated our tree a week ago and took a heap of pictures. The bokeh and out of focus was a lot of fun!

I used bokeh and cranberries to give my header a seasonal spin and this is a glimpse of our holiday fun.

Gorgeous light. I'm glad you chose this today… so much that is easy to love about the lights of Christmas. And for me, there isn't light without the bokeh.

i so agree kim. we need the warmth and glow of twinkle lights in these shorter darker winter days. the glow is just happiness making. these little snowflake lights were a surprise in the mail for my little ones from my faraway best friend. snail mail love.

I made a homemade heart bokeh lens filter last year to capture my "tree love." I'm thinking about doing it again this year: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniecourt/5236157822/in/set-72157624307308583/

I love the lights that come out during the holidays. I think I've shot a bokeh tree shot every day this week!

I also love when these banners and lights go up in the grocery store parking lot. it means the trees have arrived!
