It reflects our moods, it shows the uncertain nature of our existance…

It holds us all together under the same dome. All the same.

All granted the same beauty, the same immenseness…

Vast. Far beyond.

  14. Beautiful photos! And especially inspired by the moon photos of last night.
    My sister sent a photo last night in which the moons light appears to be dancing around the Moon.
    Hope this storm breaks for a while tonight, for I will wait with camera in hand ~

  17. It's gray, overcast and rainy today. So I think I'll use a picture from a recent sunset that was stunningly beautiful. Although the first image is a hdr image – I was trying to render it very close to what I was seeing in person. The second is pretty close to sooc. I'm glad my hubby talked me into stopping for a walk that night. We came close to missing this.

  24. I particularly enjoy taking pictures of the clouds from an airplane. We see the sky from 'below' quite regularly, but I am genuinely amazed when looking at the sky from 'above'!

  25. i am currently obsessed with these harsh super-bright partly cloudy days. i also seem to be incapable of taking a sky photo without s little strip of land in it. i've tried. it's impossible. so i guess these are my "mostly sky" photos.

  33. I live out in West Texas, which is not generally known for its beauty. However, the one thing it's got going for it in the scenic department is the enormously vast "West Texas Skies."

    This past week we went out to Palo Duro Canyon (The second largest canyon in the country – who knew it was here? Certainly not I, until my big move out "West" last year!), where the skies are almost as lovely as the canyon:
