Cool choice for the rock shot. Different and unexpected.
This Love Thursday, I am contributing a shot of my baby girl. She will be turning five soon, and is having a bit of a rough time finding herself. But mothers love their babies, even when they may act unlovable…and I do love her. Yes, I do.
I was in Bangladesh recently. In many of the villages we visited, pre-potty-trained toddlers run around naked with little bells around their waist. This photo represents love to me – being willing to risk being peed on!

Just like photography lets me see beauty in everything, Love Thursday has made me start looking for love as I go about my days. What a wonderful exercise that is!
heres a lovethursday photo for you. I was scrolling through my photos of my dad to find one or two to blow up for his memorial service at the end of the month. I found this one
It was inspired by a shutter sisters post which i have tried in vain to find in the archives to credit it. Someone here had been taking photos of elderly or terminally ill people. I remember one shot was of a couple’s hands. I thought it was a truly beautiful photo, so full of love and i vowed to get one or two of my parents doing this. I didnt want to force it (when a person gets to a certain point in an illness you dont feel like posing photos as it just seems like you are blatently making memories for when they die). I just took a couple when they were watching tv. so thank you whoever you were for the impetus.
I’ve been reading some of these great posts and viewing the photos, and will come back tonight — after the sun goes down — to read more. Yes, I echo Shelli who said Love Thursday makes us look for love (for me today, botanical hearts) in all kinds of places. Here’s my contribution:
