If you’re a Shutter Sister who happens to live stateside, today is the day your photo tells the story of history in the making. No matter if you vote to send a woman or an African-American to the White House–together as a nation we’ve expanded our shared sense of what’s possible in America and that’s no small feat. Have you ever had a better reason for a photo op?
How will you capture your historic vote today? What will you catch in the lens to help you (and your children) remember this ground-breaking election forever?
Please vote today and when you come back home, leave us a link to what making history looks like from wherever you are and however you’re feeling. It’s an incredibly important day.

Took care of voting, asked for permission to take some pics, seemed to make everyone a little nervous, but here’s what I got: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mackvilleroad/3002116429/
And be sure to add your photos to the NY Times Polling Places site!

On my way to take my daughter to school. There’s supposed to be a big storm today… looks like it’s going to be a wild one in many ways.
I took this before I even knew about this post! Groovy.

Didn’t even think to bring my camera when I early voted…bummer. Great stuff everyone. Jen’s post did inspire me to post a little encouragement to vote on my new blog.
Unfortunately, I did not take my own camera to the early voting polls, but I have shared my thoughts on the subject here (http://jackandcooper.blogspot.com/2008/10/share-love-rock-vote.html) and here (http://jackandcooper.blogspot.com/2008/11/being-part-of-history.html).
Thanks for encouraging others to inspire and be inspired.

This day that will go down in history. This post this morning got me emotional with hope, with what I was teaching my son. He said he wanted to help me vote so we both put our finger on that red button ‘cast your ballot’ and I snapped this photo, a moment I will always remember with him. Thank you for voting:
