Tracey Clark

With a modest arsenal of Canon equipment, a bounty of intuition and her self-proclaimed obsession with natural light, Tracey has spent over 15 years as a professional photographer and takes great pleasure in capturing the kind of images that remind us that life is beautiful. She appreciates good composition, authenticity, a cool ocean breeze and her 50mm Compact Macro lens.

Tracey is the founder of Shutter Sisters and Mother May I and can be reached at .

Kate Inglis

Kate of Sweet | Salty is a writer first and foremost who nurtures her photographic funk by trial and error, kickstarted by diploma courses during her footloose (a.k.a. pre-motherhood) years.

Kate enjoys power outages, woodsmoke, the flotsam you find on the beach after a hurricane and the novelty of living in the saltiest place on earth. She can be reached at .

Karen Walrond

Karen bought her first SLR camera -- a second-hand Nikon FE Series -- back in 1994.  Since then, her addiction to photography (and Nikon cameras) has gotten seriously out of hand.  In fact, Karen recently left her law practice to pursue a full-time career and life filled with words and imagery. Karen likes the ocean, mega bookstores, smiles between strangers and all things Trinidadian. She dislikes feet, peanut butter, mean-spiritedness and the incorrect use of 'it's' and 'its.'

See more of Karen's work at Chookooloonks, or contact her directly at.

Maile Wilson

If you count glamour shots as professional portraiture, then Maile has been shooting "professionally" for sixteen years. During that time, she owned and operated three successful studios in California, then in Texas. When she realized her favorite part of owning a storefront was getting to decorate it, she knew things had to change. So two years ago, she decided photography was not rocket science. She started shooting in ways that interested her. With over a decade in the business, she fell in love with photography for the first time.  She believes that art doesn't have to be complicated, and neither does your life. Her work can be found at the Relish Portrait Studio website and on her blog Daily Relish.

She can be reached at .

Andrea Scher

Andrea Scher is a photographer, jewelry designer and life coach living in Berkeley, CA. She has had a photoblog, Superhero Journal since 2003 where she shares photos and writes about her life.

"I have a lot of passions, but the one I believe in above all else is that we are all creative beings and we all deserve to do work that we love; work that feels like a true expression of who we are. One of the greatest gifts of having a photoblog is to be able to inspire others to live their creative lives and ultimately find more beauty and joy in the world." You can reach Andrea at .

Paige Balcer

Paige is a graphic designer turned professional photographer living in Omaha, Nebraska. She started Paige B. Photography in the winter of '08 and is looking forward to another successful year in 2009. Paige and her husband John enjoy frequent trips to visit friends in Chicago, where they lived before moving to Omaha. Paige loves dark chocolate, argyle socks, the Paper Source and any good book. She can often be found taking pictures of her cat Roxy, a common subject on her blog Look Away. You can reach Paige at .

Irene Nam

Irene is a writer, neat freak, mother of two who loves instant photography. When her husband gave her her first Polaroid camera as a Christmas present last year, she had no idea that the little experiment would soon become a source of inspiration, an opportunity to see and express things differently and that she would enjoy it so much. Irene now navigates a happy balance between working on a book project, playing dominos with her twin sons, and strapping on a backpack full of film and crawling all over her native Paris shooting Polaroid photos. You can see more of her photos on her blog Momster. You can reach her at .

sarah-ji

Once upon a time, Sarah-Ji wandered the streets and music venues of Chicago practicing stealth photography wherever she went. Then along came a husband and baby soon after, and her shutterbugging days seemed to be over. Luckily, in the spring of '07, she awakened to the world of dSLR, and now she hopes to be snapping away happily ever after. When she's not taking photos, Sarah-Ji daydreams about Metropolis lattes, the Pacific Northwest and running an urban hostel.  Her passions are mindful parenting, making mix CDs, creating/finding community, and the voices of Sam Beam, Sufjan Stevens, Neil Halstead and Jeff Tweedy. See more from Sarah at Her blogging corner of cyberspace is at sarah-ji.com or reach her at .

Jen Lemen

Jen Lemen realized she was a photographer on the fertile fields of Rwanda where little girls tugged at her skirt and old women stood solemnly waiting for their portrait to be taken. This experience--revealing joy and wisdom in unexpected places--shapes every shot Jen takes with her trusty Canon Rebel, whether she's gazing at flowers along the street where she lives in Silver Spring, Maryland or telling stories about sage souls from near and faraway lands. You can read more about Jen's creative adventures at jenlemen.com.

Stephanie Roberts

Stephanie Roberts is often found behind her Nikon and iMac composing images, digital videos, and audio podcasts. For the past twelve years, she's been powering an interactive design and communications firm. Now she pursues fine art and documentary photography and crafts digital documentaries for her clients. Stephanie lives on a cattle farm with her family where she sculpts natural light, thinks deep, avoids ironing and enjoys watching the grass grow. You can follow her thoughts and images at LittlePurpleCow Photography. You can reach her at .
