on my windowsill

February 2, 2012 By Kim Klassen

I bought a dozen roses at the super market the other day. I divided them into 4 bottles. I have them sitting throughout our home. It’s always nice to have a little touch of pretty in different rooms. Don’t you think?

This sits on our kitchen windowsill…. right by the sink. It’s lovely to see and smell as I do the dishes.

How about you? Share a little touch of something pretty with us today.

Love the softness of your image, Kim!

Is it cheating if I include photos of my daughter?! Not really a flower or inanimate object, but gosh, I do think she's pretty ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Kim,
These are pretty, beautiful in fact! I've been buying flowers lately, too. I think it's that desire for color in the depths of winter.

The pretty that I'd like to share today is sparkly snow crystals. It is the final photo in a recent blog post:

    Hope your day is happy!

"pretty" seems to be a challenge to find in winter. I find beauty but it's not what I'd call "pretty." Perhaps thats why I had to post a picture from last August, just to have a little pretty.

Not so soft or pretty, but this made me stop in my tracks and whip out the camera.

Prettiness perks me up too, especially in the frigid weather. Here is a touch of simple and pretty (mini-pears) from my house.

Beautiful, Kim! We all need some pretty in our life! A friend brought me some roses in a vase she made herself – they really brought some beauty into this dreary month. http://fiberphoto.blogspot.com/2012/02/still-life.html
