quotable photable

October 6, 2008 By Kate Inglis

Needles and pins, Needles
and pins,
Sew me a sail to catch me the wind.
Sew me a sail strong as the gale,
Carpenter, bring out your hammers and nails.
Hammers and nails, hammers and nails,
Build me a boat to go chasing the whales.
Chasing the whales, sailing the blue
Find me a captain and sign me a crew.
Captain and crew, captain and crew,
Take me, oh take me to anywhere new.

–Shel Silverstein

Today, my adventure is to be where my feet are planted… in THIS moment. I’m getting caught up in the busy-ness of what’s waiting for me tomorrow (and the tomorrow after that…). There is no greater adventure than to be fully where you are.

i showed my true adventure spirit the best at hilton head. no sun at the beach? we needed a alternate plan – went to salvation army, bought a wedding dress for $20 and did a photoshoot with the poem Annabelle Lee in mind. changed right on the beach, set up a tripod and started shooting, i didn’t care what others thought – a great photo adventure
