ready set go!

November 16, 2010 By Meredith Winn

Laughter bounces in the darkness.
Freeze tag. Karate tag. Skip tag. Jump tag.
Giggles are bouyant bubbles rising up up up then popping in mid-air.
“Tag! You’re it!”
This is more than just time well spent in the backyard while dinner simmers.

A guaranteed way I can get this almost six year old infront of the camera is to catch him doing a stunt, then showing him the instant replay and how cool it looks. It’s fun to jump, it’s fun to catch someone at play, and nighttime can even spark creativity with a seldom used flash. For this shot I used my speedlight SB400. How do you catch action? Share your thoughts on flash photography today in the comments and enjoy the playful side of photography …. light or dark!

I don't often use flash, but my last photo featured on my blog was taken with the flash on. Can you tell? Bet you can't. I love it when that happens!

I rarely use a flash because as a beginner photographer I read somewhere that it will make the photo look "unnatural." I've since found that not to be true especially after post processing but old habits die hard. However, when taking photos in the dark, you have no choice and I'm still pleased with how they turn out.

Pardon, as I previously shared another photo from this set and this is another of the same feel. But I don't use flash in a creative way very often…I should explore a bit more. This was accomplished with the flash set to slow sync around 1/10 and panning with the kids as they ran. The dappled light from the trees made nice little streaks….

I do not like using a flash. I have a lot to learn.

I adore kids in motion (these are daylight/dusk in motion)

i don't use flash very often. i love natural light so much. but occasionally i'll use the flash and get a neat picture like this one: http://helloannabeth.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/dsc_0527.jpg.

but natural light will forever be my favorite as you can see on my last photoshoot post.

I hate flash. I am frightened of it. Totally ignorant of it. I only use it with my point and shoot. I don't understand it. You sort of have to have it though for moments like these. A necessary evil.

These ugg boots are extremely comfortable to wear and because of this you may find yourself wearing UGGS alot. Which is all well and good until cheap ugg boots start to get dirty and start to smell. Certainly one way of making sure that your Cheap Uggs remaining look good is by using a specialist cleaning product which has been designed for use on leather and suede items. The great site that discount ugg boots online:
