served

February 5, 2012 By Tracey Clark

Morning, noon, night, we are fortunate to have some kind of bounty on our tables. Whether it’s a home cooked meal, a late night snack or a glorious night out where the food is graciously prepared and served with a smile, there’s something about food that not only satisfies hunger (or thirst!) but also serves as instant subject matter for the next quick pic.

I have never before captured so many table shots as I do now that I have taken up mobile phone photography. It’s as if I just can’t help myself. And why should I? Creative bursts come in the most unlikely places…like at the dinner table.

Snap a shot from your table today. Show us what’s being served or what you’re serving up. Make our mouths water.

I totally do the same – my partner is getting used to waiting for his dinner while I snap some photos 🙂

One favourite subject of mine is muffins – like today's bounty, straight out of the oven:

Really, can we call our i-phone pictures a type of art? Cool! Here are some shots I took of my baking bash.

I am addicted to photographing as I bake. Too much fun! And it is a way to savor the creative process.

There is always lashings of tea on the go in our house.

I stopped drinking milk when I was ill early last year so would drink my tea with no milk. when I got better and tried re adding milk I hated it so now its black tea only, to the disgust of my parents 🙂

    PS
This makes more sense if you know in Ireland we add a dash of milk into tea like the English.

    Take care of one another
