I’ve got to admit, few things make me giddier than little splashes of summer red.

    This year's summer colours are turning out to be soft blues, greens and greys for me. This is partly because of the cloudy and rainy weather we've been having and partly because I've been shooting film and getting dreamy, slightly underexposed images:

    I love these reds! And I am not normally a "red girl".

    It is over-the-top hot where I am, the hottest June on record, which is saying something for Texas, and the colors this summer are faded from the sun and heat. No need to Photoshop desaturate – Mama Nature is doing it herself.

    My photography niche is all about vibrant color. And summer always brings that out just a little bit more. I've been to some local gardens recently & photographed some gorgeous flowers.
