I love summer.  It is here and it is most definitely my season.  It’s the only time of the year that I give myself permission to let myself relax.  I love the long days, warm nights and the chance to wear open-toed shoes after a long winter encased in socks and boots.  And of course, getting a pedicure to welcome the new season doesn’t hurt, either.  Like most girls, I have a thing for shoes.  And because summer is my most favorite season ever, I’m always on the lookout to find the cutest (and most comfortable) pair of sandals or flip flops out there.  I know my camera gets most of its use this time of year as well, and there’s nothing cuter than seeing a ‘tween in her cute little flip flops and newly painted toes. It was only natural then, that when I did a photo shoot of the two girls above I just had to include a shot of those too-cute feet.  Seriously, what’s not to love about kids or babies feet or any feet in super cute shoes, for that matter?!

  6. Adorable flipflops. Perfect for summer. Summer to me means "frolic." It means weekends in the park with my husband and our two pups. We spread a picnic on the grass and settle down to watch the pups play with their friends. I love those lazy days that seem to happen only in summer.

  28. i think my feet love summer as much as i do. i used to get pedicures and then figured out last year, at 45, that i could still bend over and paint my own toes and so i have been ever since. someday i’ll have to go again and pay for someone else to do this for me, but for now, i’m proud to be able to be all bendy 🙂

    these shoes are the perfect summer sandal….just the right height to make our bottoms looks good, but not to high to be uncomfortable…..add me to the drawing please !!!

  41. Oh my word they are so cute! We only have summer for a very short time on the ranch…so we have to make the most of it. You can bet I will be wearing my flip flops as much as possible.

  53. I love this picture and the adorable flip fops. Both are such a true representation of summer. The cute pedicures also coordinate so well with the flip flops and add character to the photo as well. Seeing this photo has contributed to my learning as a photographer in thinking about new ways to think about taking photos and which photos to take. I love it for what it represents about being female, summer, and the inspiration is has given me to improve my photography!

  56. Summer is warmer mornings, more daylight, being able to forget a jacket in the evening, BBQs, fireworks, bare feet, ponytails, short sleeves, twilight walks in the park, just to name a few. 🙂
