sunday school: mirror on the wall

November 21, 2010 By sarah-ji

Whenever I am on a photo assignment, one of the first things I look for in a space to get my creative juices flowing is a reflection of some sort.  In this case, I got lucky, and there was a long mirror that actors could use while getting ready for the show. I was able to frame the shot so that the actor and her reflection in the mirror were not only both in the photo but were also positioned in a way that balanced each other out.

What are some creative ways in which you have used mirrors in your photography? Please share with us links to your images so that we can be inspired!

Oh, very cool shot! Not only does the reflection give balance, but the rest of the room reflected in the mirror along with the counter in front gives such a sense of place. Wonderful!

Here's a recent favorite mirror shot of mine:

I decided to focus on the reflection, rather than the foreground:

I love all things reflection! windows, water, fixtures…and obviously mirrors! I like the subtle use of the bathroom mirror in this shot:

These ugg boots are extremely comfortable to wear and because of this you may find yourself wearing UGGS alot. Which is all well and good until cheap ugg boots start to get dirty and start to smell. Certainly one way of making sure that your Cheap Uggs remaining look good is by using a specialist cleaning product which has been designed for use on leather and suede items. The great site that discount ugg boots online:

just yesterday we were huddling at our cars saying goodbyes. i realized i had not snapped one photo of the 2 of us together and that just seemed wrong. so we leaned in to my car mirror and snapped this happy shot, and i am so glad we did.

The third photo down on this post was taken from outside a church window and it reflected the scenery so it was like a mirror. ๐Ÿ™‚
