I’m feeling so grateful for all that Steve Jobs has given to the world.
I have always been a mac girl. From the first ever mac computer my Dad brought home back in the early 80’s, the pink imac while I lived in Asia, then my first ibook, a couple of macbooks and now I write this on my imac, with cordless keyboard and mouse.
His creations, and inventions have shaped the way I live my life, communicate and transformed the way I work and I know many of you out there will have been influenced and inspired by this visionary.
I watched his Stanford talk again yesterday, (if you haven’t seen it, please go now and soak up the goodness) there are so many great messages to take away from it, but what I’m thinking about today is this….
“Love what you do” – Steve Jobs
We are so lucky to have creativity and photography in our lives, let’s celebrate this and share here what you’ve captured recently.
I absolutely agree – amazing what he created and how people react on that sad news.
That speech is phenomenal, indeed!
In honor to Steve I like to share a picture that would be as it is without my beloved mac:

He was a true inspiration – in every which way. Thank-you for this sweet and wonderful tribute to him and his life and his work.

What a nice tribute to him. I'm sure he would be embarrassed by all of this attention. What an example of a life well lived.

i also appreciate his speech at Standford. That was the best speech i ever listen ^^
No matter what sort of computer or phone you use, it's as good as it is because of Steve Jobs and his visionary leadership.
if you have not seen it i recommend watching the documentary on the formation of Pixar Studios. I think it was quite amazing how these grown men, put so much creativity into it and without Steve Jobs it would never have come to fruition.
an innovator, who changed the world.
It is always inspiring to see genius in action. Thank you for today's post.
Here is what I've captured recently– a planned maternity session that turned into a family session a few months later:

The impact he made on our lives, the world over, is immeasurable.

I was surprised as how emotional I felt about his death, but as I was photo processing and blogging on my macbook yesterday I realized that it must be because he shepherded the creation of these tools which are conduits for my own creative output. His vision enabled a great deal of meaning in my life. For that, I note his passing and thank him.
This is the post I was working on as I realized that:

What a wonderful tribute. Thank you for the link to the speech, I had never watched it in its entirety and now I am so glad I did.

I first heard of Steve Jobs death on my iphone…somehow this seemed like a tribute!!
http://picturngtheyear.blogspot.com/2011/08/obsession.html Mr Jobs had a hand in my instagram obsession for sure!
iNo matter what type of phone or computer you use though his innovations have effected it…all companies have to keep up with Apple! What an amazing person he was.

i have been reading a few things about him & this quote i came across on a gorgeous blog was the one that resonates with me http://deborahvelasquez.blogspot.com/2011/10/steve-jobs.html
here is what i have captured recently http://www.magnetisedbylife.com/2011/10/its-their-city.html
what a different world we would live in without his vision. I thought about what other changes will come that will shape my children's world.

My mom raised two babies on a tiny island with no bridge, no store, no two-lane roads. It was a 45 minute boat ride to the dock and then a 45 minute drive to the nearest town. She had no family nearby. I'm raising my son thousands of miles from home, but I can hop on my MacBook Pro every day and create a blog entry to share with friends and family back home. My kin feel invested in my son's life because they've watched him grow through pictures, video, and written descriptions. I'm deeply, deeply grateful for that. And I can print my blog up to make instant baby books for my son.

Thank you so much for acknowledging Steve and all that he (and Apple) have brought to the world, and especially our world of photography.
