Cara shoots images like this with her Hasselblad and spends her weekends soaking in each free moment.

a note from us at Shutter Sisters:
And with this fine image from Cara, we kick off our “weekending” series. This post will be here today and tomorrow and we do hope you share your weekending links with us here and anywhere else you are on the web. If you hashtag your shots #weekending, we can find each other. And if you want to be considered for a future weekending post, email your image to click at shuttersisters dot com.
We wish you a wonderful weekend filled with all the things you love.
We had an extended weekend this week, with a little spring break. And yesterday, with the sun breaking through the clouds, it indeed felt like spring. Heavenly. Finally 🙂

On the first Friday of every month my town does an art walk. This weekend I perused the new quilt store with oodles more floor space and so many beautiful quilts on display.

I've been in love with this photo ever since I first saw it posted on Flickr. Great image to start weekending with! I love the weekends because it is when I get to spend the most time with my sweetheart.

Weekend, oh weekend!
Today http://www.andreahandl.de/?p=919
and yesterday http://www.andreahandl.de/?p=906
both had their moments. It seems to me that it is almost some form of art to find and embrace these moments that make the end of the week – or beginning of the next – special. To refuse to get lost in the "have-to-do's". This is terribly tricky to achieve. But moments of bliss do actually sneak in between busy moments. And that feels so good!!
I love your image Cara. Beautiful start to the day….coffee and a pastry
For us weekends are about the beach our favourite place to be and re-energise.
