When you look through the lens, you may find…
the weariness reserved for little girls up way past their bedtime,
the beauty of innocence,
the sweetness of waiting,
a new Alice in Wonderland ready for a new world, a new Queen, a brave new adventure,
a too long forgotten, tender lost part of you, waiting to be claimed once again.
Oh the things you will find, when you look through the lens.

poor baby – she does look sleepy. lately, though life is a series of sad events – like Anne Frank, I still believe in an overall goodness (and perhaps the possibility of miracles).

Oh Jen, what a beautiful post and a beautiful girl!
Here is my almost thirteen year old beautiful girl:

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m running out of things to take pictures of. I needed inspiration! And then I saw it: http://umbrellablog.com/photography/macro-day-challenge-open/
Thank you for asking. I am looking for signs of "life" in the otherwise dreary month of November.

I see a longing in this girl’s eyes. She had been involved in bitter divorce of her parents.. and those eyes were telling me how she feels.

I just found your site, and I absolutely love it. Thank you for such an inspiring place, and for inviting so much thought. As I went for a walk today I was thinking about the many paths of opportunity we have to choose from, how things change in unexpected ways and there are turns and forks in the road we might never have expected. All through it, we have the steady voice of our hearts to guide us.
My post earlier today:

It’s true. When you raise your camera to your eye you see so much more. I have learnt so much by looking through the lens…
