whispers

November 12, 2009 By Kristin Zecchinelli

From my kitchen window I watch them fall.  Autumn’s leaves letting go and descending to the earth.  Some so graceful dancing on every breeze, others twirling and playful like a child, then a few taking a direct descent as if they can’t fall fast enough.  I find myself mesmerized and remembering this proverb, “The fall of a leaf is a whisper to the living.”  This makes me smile as I return my gaze back out my window, mindful of the whispers.

What is whispering in your ear?  Won’t you show us?

    What a sweet post and beautiful image. I think it’s the call of the change-in-seasons that I”m hearing. The fall migration. The birds flying south.

    They are more than a whisper, but spoke in a similar way. They travel through town every year this time and for some reason this year chose our trees as their perch. They only stopped by for the evening.

    wow. {i just watched a leaf fall after i typed that… as i was thinking what to write next ๐Ÿ™‚ }

    this is simple and quiet and peaceful. i love that you included the proverb. and the photo… perfect. i have tried to capture a falling leave with my camera this year. not easy to do. you’ve done it so well.

    i was at this forest preserve about a month ago:
    http://itsjusthowiseethings.blogspot.com/2009/11/november-gratitude-part-two.html

    it was so quiet there, the only thing i heard was a whisper of wind through the acres and acres of tall prairie grass {which was incredible}. but it seems like a lot of things have been whispering to me lately. clouds. light coming through windows. i’ve been in a quiet mood and taking a lot of "quiet" pictures lately.

    my ears are filled daily with the whispers of summer being gone and fall, standing strongly in her place….the reminders are everywhere….but I don’t have to be reminded, as the feeling of fall being present is such a loud voice that I actually wish she’d go back to being just a whisper…..

    i love all these photos people are getting of falling leaves. it’s a special time to me when they begin to fall – it always reminds me of Thanksgiving at my grandmothers. But the fallen leaves speak to me too – they truly excite me.

    beautiful sky and capture. the awareness that my son will only be 4.5 once and for me to be present in the moment with him, to embrace what is beautiful and joyous, because like the leaves-the season will cycle and pass and then a new chapter will begin.

    This is well known that cash makes us independent. But how to act when someone doesn’t have money? The one way is to get the <a href="http://lowest-rate-loans.com">loans</a&gt; or just credit loan.
