When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. –Marcus Aurelius
Have you caught wind about Reverb10? Simply put, it’s a creative and meaningful way to spend time this month “reflecting on this year and manifesting what’s next”. Pretty powerful stuff. If you’re not already participating, we encourage you to pop over to see what its all about. We are thrilled to be involved, helping spread the good word and even sharing a prompt this month too! You’re sure to see a number of familiar faces over on the author’s list. So so fun!
Today, the lovely Ali Edwards shares a prompt urging us to recall a time this past year where we felt most alive.
We would be thrilled if you joined us today and shared your story, your photo, your reflections with us and the Reverb community. Won’t you? And don’t forget to tag your post, photo, and tweets with #reverb10 so we can all keep track of each other.

Here's a little piece I wrote about various snapshots and moments I picked up along my way that reminded me how alive I am:

And – what a wonderful and inspiring project. Thank-you for directing me there.

my mind and heart instantly jumped to this day, on that famous bridge. a culmination of years of online friendship finally come full circle face to face and hand in hand walking a city so alive. it was just a grand day. one i revisit often by looking at my images i took that very special day.

May 8th, the day I finally graduated from college with a BFA, we celebrated mother's day and I felt like I was really being the mother I wanted to be, showing my three daughters the power of intention.

just the other day i was thinking about what a great year i have had and thinking back about all the great trips and activities i had done. there were so many days, but my first thought for a day i felt most alive is a day like this one – an old-fashioned play day in the snow – made me feel energized and youthful.

I got SO CARRIED AWAY with this one, but it felt incredible.
With Reverb 10, I'm learning to write as organically as I photograph, something which has been a huge challenge for me.
Everyone's posts are wonderful, I can't wait to see more. This is an awesome thing that has been started.

What a cool idea! I no longer have a blog, but I think I'll try to incorporate the prompts into my 365 project. Thanks for sharing this!

So glad you blogged about this project – it's exactly what I needed!
For prompt 3, II wrote about the greased pig contest at our county fair (where my non-country-girl-self got 3rd place)…

Since I don't/won't tweet, I realize I'm not eligible but I'd like to contribute by answering the question anyway:
This year I felt most alive when I was able to get to the city (I live far from civilization) and was surrounded by people, hustling & bustling, people talking and moving about, and had some really fulfilling and inspirational conversations. I felt alive (since I feel like I'm in jail hte rest of the year).

I finally made it to the day three prompt. My moment…the eye of the storm: http://bit.ly/drojasMoment
I wish I had a photo of this moment…but I needed to feel it without being hindered by anything.
