As you are here now…
What have you been shooting lately? please share with us below in the comments.
We recently moved cross-country to reach home again at last. My son is now basking in the attention of his older cousins. I love preserving the moments as they fall in love with each other. http://journeyleaf.typepad.com/journeyleaf/2012/10/first-riding-lesson.html
Fallish stuff-Halloween, pumpkins, little hands with leaves and acorns. I am really tying to catch the details.
A little bit of autumn symmetry:

Trying to capture autumn's last hurrah in my part of the world…am so sorry to see it go…
I'm shooting things which aren't quite what they are.
And if it was a straight photo shot to begin, it won't be exactly that when I get done with processing.
I took a blog hiatus for a bit. Unexpected.
Just started processing photos and posting again.
Maybe my photos haven't changed, just the way I view them.
I've been photographing kids with Down syndrome for my personal project, The Aiden Project: http://aidenproject.com/ , as well as getting to shoot a worship leader for his first CD. It was exciting for this very un-cool, middle aged photographer to get to be part of a cool project!
Everyday moments. It always seems to come back to those.
Grandbabies. The rock in an endless swelling sea.
i would love to share some of what i have been shooting lately, but my messages keep getting thrown out. :-(((
somehow it is extremely difficult for sisters from outside the us to post here.

As part of my photography course I have been shooting daily self portraits & items from around the house….harder than I thought it would be!

Been doing some classes with Clickinmoms 🙂 Learning some more about Composition – got the basics down- now time to get more craft 🙂 It's so cold outside- so I'm working on my inside work!
We just spent some time in Dunnellon, FL visiting my boyfriend's folks. Her yard is a a photographer's heaven, where I'm concerned! I got plenty of practice between her yard gems and going to the The New River to kayak and in the early evening to shoot during the golden hour. I'm learning a "big girl" camera, yet, still so in love with my "iCamera"!

The election provided some great shooting opportunities….
I just took a workshop with a local professional to develop my skills in portrait photography, specifically in taking pictures of my 9 month old son and I am thrilled with the results! Here are some of the shots that I took after the workshop 🙂
this community is a gift. one that keeps on giving…(inspiration!)
i'm challenging myself with something new (b&w's): http://www.flickr.com/photos/the-mer-family/sets/72157631907518079/
but also seeing in color (which looks heavy with green, blue and black!): http://www.flickr.com/photos/the-mer-family/sets/72157631907587227/
I love photographing the seasons
For weeks I've been shooting leafs and other autumny stuff like this one:
But last week I felt I had to step out of my routine and went to the local aquarium, which resulted in some beautiful underwater pictures like the one below.
I realized again, how important it is to challenge myself and promised to do it more regularly.
